Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

Same thing happened to me.  It vibrated and the screen went blank.

I change the clock setting via the app and everything came back as it should be.

I called the fitbit company and they helped me reboost it

This did the trick on mine too, thanks

Here's an update on mine: none of the tips worked for me, including changing the clockface. Fitbit is sending me a new Charge 3 since it's under warranty, but I'm concerned this will only happen again. It's obviously a known problem when you see how many folks are having this issue. Let's see if the new one lasts longer than 3 months.

Same problem here. It happened quite suddenly this morning after a week of use. No apparent reason. I am trying to change the clock face, will see if it works. It seems some kind of funny bug. Let me know if I can be of any help to the developers

Hello guys, I hope you are doing fine.

I am glad to see here that for some of you this issue has been resolved, thanks for the efforts in trying to fix this.

For the ones that keep having problems turning on your Charge 3, I recommend the restart process and follow the instructions in the help article Why isn't my battery charging? to check if the issue is directly with the battery.

I hope this helps, catch you later. Smiley Happy

How do you restart it?

Put the Charge 3 in the charging cradle and plug it in. Keep the button on the side of the tracker pressed for about 10 seconds or until you see the 'smiley face' appear.
Good luck!

Had mine for 2 months, had the green light on, black screen, vibrate when the button was pushed. Reset it by putting it on the charger. Now I have no green light, no vibration and got hot on charger.

Hello!! So, I left it off my wrist for the day, after I had tried to charge it and it got hot. Put it back on the charger and it vibrated! Woohoo! I got a flat line across the screen. Went to the app to sync, got an update message. Updated and it has been working fine for 36 hours! No green lights.

Thanks. I'll remember your technique.
I must add that I'm only a Fitbit wearer and not an 'expert'. My tracker
went wrong and I noted when searching for an answer that I wasn't the only
one. That is why I posted how I cured mine.
