Charge 3 display won't turn on

Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

Do you want to fix the problem? Change the clock face, see that the watch
display is working again and then change it back. The display problem will
then be resolved.

There is no image of a clock face in the app. I downloaded the app for he Fitbit charge 3.

You must be used by an Android based OS and app must differ on that
system. I’m using an iPhone. When I press the watch image the settings
page comes up, and then I can press the clock faces icon. Maybe just
google how to change the clock face on the android version of the fit bit
app?

Okay. Take a screen shot of your Fitbit app. Then email me that image.

Got mine today..... Won't do anything?!? Vibrates when plugged in...then vibrates when you touch the "button" but nothing? Brand new just out of the box!!!

Try changing the clock face via the app settings. You can change it back
if you want.

Same thing happened to me! So sorry to hear. I told the company and they sent me a new one and again, right out of the box, same thing! I contacted them again and they finally said to send it back but offered NOTHING in return. But, they did tell me to trust them.... So, I’m out over $150. Fitbit keeps selling these things knowing that they are faulty! I filed a complaint with the FTC and many others did as well! So unfortunate. I was more than understanding and patient and still am, but they continue to do nothing to actually solve the problem they created.

Try changing the clock face. It worked fore me. Hope this works for you too.

I can't change a clock face as my Fitbit isn't paired with my phone. My phone can see fitbit but I am not able to put 4 number to connect with bloototh as my Fitbit screen doesn't shows anything.

The Charge 3 seems to have been put on the market without a proper check.
When it is working it is very good but it's so unreliable it has lost my
confidence.
I'm only a purchaser like you and have no influence with Fitbit. I hope
you have success with a replacement.

My Fitbit Charge 3 showed me a blank screen yesterday.  No amount of pushing the side button opened the screen...it remained blank.  I held the side button down for 10 seconds and the smiley face came on and then the screen worked perfectly...100% charged thru all this.  This operation should be listed somewhere in the directions to using the Fitbit Charge 3.

Happened the same, it sync'd with the app but nothing display. Called tech support at 7 pm PT, got recording the office is closed. It mentions on the website open till 9 pm PT.

*edit* Fitbit sent me a new watch

 

Same happened to me as well.  Black screen unless I hold the button down for 10 seconds and then a smiley face. I contacted Fitbit and have a case file open.  Fitbit said they would email me back.  That was 4 days ago and no email.  It's really starting to tick me off!!!

Mine wouldn't turn on at all. I was to get a label to post the device
back.... Now no label I post it and they will refund the cost of postage
and send a new device..... Keep emailing once you have a case number!

They did the SAME thing to me. They didn’t email me back either. I had to follow up many, many times. I think they do this to eat up the time on the return policy. Either way, it’s incompetence and poor business practice, at best. Good luck to you. Next time, I’m choosing a garmin after I save up enough money to buy another device.

I can confirm that changing the clock to a different one works as well. I used that method this morning.

Let me clarify things a little though for this method. 

My charge 3 was able to synch fine and it was working normally. The only thing not working was the screen. I could tell this because the heart rate light was still blinking normally and I verified that it was synching with my phone. If your device does this then just change the clock to a different one and it should work again. Then you can change it back. The clock is an app and apparently the app is freezing.

 

When my first one died, not due to the battery btw, the heart rate sensor light was dead too. If that is the case then you need to try the restart method on the charger and if that doesn't work (it didn't for me) then either take it back to the store and replace it (my method) or call support and work with them to get a replacement. It's bricked. The one I have now has the December update and seems to be working fine otherwise. I got it on 12/15.
