Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

Thank you for the clock tip. It worked for me as well, but seriously, what is up with all of these bugs? I've been able to find answers for every issue I've had, thanks to the community... but your less internet savvy users (senior citizens) are going to give up on their trackers.

Hooray!! Thanks for the tip it worked. Fitbit suggested a long reset which didn't work so I'm keeping my fingers crossed this works permanently.

My charge 3 is doing the exact same thing it isn't even three months old. Black screen of death but still vibrate notifications without displaying them.

Found the SOLUTION: change the clock face. Then you can apply back your favorite clock face if you want, but that change wakes the display up.
EDIT: however I still cannot update the firmware.
EDIT 2: I removed my charge 3 from the app, then couldn't add it back. The window would appear and disappear quickly, just like when I was trying to update the firmware. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Everything is fine now. I was able to add my charge 3 and it's now updating the firmware.

This literally just happened to mine. I tried charging it and everything. Nothing worked. So I tried what you said, change the clock face, and that worked!! Thank you!!! 😄

I fixed the blank screen issue by changing the clock face. My charge 3 tracker was syncing data but the face went dark. This a quick and easy fix!

Obviously it's the app, but not everyone is going to understand this. These probalems are unacceptable.

I started having the same problem yesterday. Can't get the display to turn on and if I keep tapping the screen it just starts vibrating. I've tried all the fixes here. Reset about a dozen times, charged the device to 100%, made sure firmware was up to date and tried to change the watch face. That caused a whole new problem since it wouldn't install and now it just keeps telling me there was a failure. So frustrating since my Fitbit is only about 6 weeks old.

I just kept my Fitbit on and eventually the screen turn back to normal when I was out in colder weather for some reason. It was blank for most of the afternoon into the early evening
Respectfully,

Hi guys, I hope you are doing fine.
I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix the turn on issue you all are experiencing. It's great to know that for some of you this issue has been resolved.
For the ones that keep experiencing this, I recommend restarting your units. If this doesn't work, perform a long restart:
You can also try the instructions provided by our friends about changing your clock faces. To change the clock face follow the steps in the help article How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?.
Let me know the outcome.

My Charge 3 display suddenly stopped working. it would keep track of steps and vibrate. I checked this cause it would sync up with my phone. But, the screen just wouldn't respond. I used the "fix" from a prior post. I changed the clock face using the app on my android phone. My phone connected to my Charge 3. The Charge 3 showed that it was downloading/installing the new clock face. Now my Charge 3 display is working again! Thank you so much everyone!
