Charge 3 display won't turn on

Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

Welcome to the Community Forums @SunsetRunner , @adr1enn3, and @Cam2013While reading your posts I couldn't see if you've tried changing the clock face on your tracker? Since your tracker is vibrating and it has plenty of battery left, in case that the restart hasn't worked I'd recommend trying to change the clock face. Give this a shot and let me know if that works! Robot wink

My Fitbit is blank and won't light up.  Did I accidentally turn it off?

 

Update: My Charge 3 is dark but it still communicates with my App on my smart phone.  What do you suggest I do?

 

Update: I went to the App on my phone and change the clock face, I the saw the line reprograming the face,  now it works.  I learned that by reading some of your posts.  Thanks

Try changing the face.  I did it and mine has been working since I did that.

same thing happened to me, holding the button for 8 seconds worked though.

Thank you, mine would vibrate but no screen. Tried your directions and mine shut off. Then pushed side again while on charger and smiley face came on and started working again!!!

I changed the clockface multiple times and the screen still won't light up. It's also not vibrating when I press the side button, even though it's been charging. I can connect it to my phone's Bluetooth but cannot actually use the watch.

 

Update: Also, in my Fitbit app, there is a battery icon with a red "x" through it when I am on the "Account" page and it shows up next to my charge 3 selection option

 

Update: Okay I changed the clockface another 3 times, then held the side button for 8 seconds and it came back on. A suggestion for anyone else on this forum: Just keep switching the clockfaces and holding the button, eventually it should turn on

I went into my app and changed the clock face and boom it worked again

Hi there @Hotrod_44Since you've performed the restart, I was wondering if you haven't tried to change your clock face? If not, I'd recommend doing this, this should help!

 

Open the Fitbit app and tap or click the Account icon > Your device image > Clock Face (Clock Display on Android). If you change the clock face, sync your tracker to see the change.

I just had this exact experience yesterday.  From all of the comments, it appears there is a major malfunction that needs to be addressed.  Is there a fix or a replacement now being offered?

I have the same problem . I got a new one at the store, but now its the same with this new one

Plug it into the charger. While charging, hold down the side button for
about ten seconds. A smiley face should appear. When it does, it should
fix it. If that doesn't work, try changing the clock face in the app on
your phone. Be patient as both take some time. Hope one of the two works
out for you!

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I was told to change my clock
face int he fitbit app and it fixed the issue.

Okay so initially after changing the clock face my fit bit began to work again, but now it is not working. It is synced to my app but I cannot connect it to my phone via Bluetooth. It doesn't vibrate anymore yet my phone says it is fully charged. I have held the side button multiple times and seen the smiley face but then it just goes black. I've changed the clockface 10+ times and it is not helping.

Maybe at this point, you can contact customer support and get a new one if
you tried all these things and it is getting worse. I know that mine has
done the black screen thing twice but worked again after each. I hope it
never reaches the level of problems that you seem to be encountering.
