Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

What worked for me was plugging it in then holding down the button until a face similar to the one when it has full charge appeared. The display turned on again and everything went back to normal.

I'm having this same problem. Ive had my Fitbit for a few months and the display just stopped working. When I press the side buttons it vibrates but the display is blank. I tried charging it and syncing it but nothing will work. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks!

Thankyou, that worked

Try changing the clock Face in the app

Hey @phoebemoore@dogwater56, and @Persisd! Thanks troubleshooting the issue with the display on Charge 3. Nice way to go!

While reading your previous post I was wondering if your tracker does sync? If so, you can try changing the clock face to a different one to see if this brings the display back. Steps can be found at: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? Give that a go and let me know the outcome!

Hi there @Janetcarter! I'm glad to hear that your Charge 3 started working after changing the clock face.

Thanks for helping out my friend @Lemon_drop123 and @IslabonitaSmiley Very Happy

Keep me posted!

Having trouble getting my watch to sync to my phone

I bought my Fitbit Charge 3 a few months ago and it has been working great. Yesterday it suddenly went blank, although will still vibrate if I push on the side and sync up to my phone app. I charged it overnight and have tried to hold in the side but nothing is happening. How can I make the screen come back?

I have been having the same issue as many on here. I received my Fitbit charge 3 brand new for Christmas. This is now the second time that my Fitbit has been completely unresponsive even while fully charged. It still vibrates when you push the button but it does not vibrate for text/movement notifications so I know it is not “dead”. I have tried leaving it on the charger (even though this happened after bringing it to a full charge) and have tried resetting by holding down the button on the side for 8-10 seconds while plugged in. I do not get a smiley face or anything. I did not get one last time either. Last time it randomly came back while it was sitting on the counter after about 2 days. I’m now on day 3 and it’s still not working!!!! So frustrating and what a waste of money.

I just had the same problem 30 minutes ago. Black screen and all I got was vibrations. It wouldn't reset and would still vibrate when I got a text.

I found on another post to go into your Fitbit app and change the clock face in the settings. Sure enough it worked!

You can then change it back to whatever clock face you want. Hope this helped!

I’m starting to wonder the same thing. I’m receiving daily messages from
users who are so frustrated with this “issue” they’re either returning them
or scouring Fitbit community for answers. Not cool

Hi guys, I hope you are doing fine.

Thanks for troubleshooting this display issue by yourselves. @SunsetRunner, appreciate the input.

@Allybug92@dogwater56@Lubee and @MamaBearClare, if your trackers aren't turning on, I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provide there.

@Archemy and @Cody_S, it's great to hear that the instructions provided worked. If there is anything else we can help you with, do not hesitate to post it.

@Cam2013 and @Cam2013, if your trackers aren't syncing I recommend following the instructions provide in the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?. I wish it did but it didn't for me!

As I said in my post, I tried what the information in your link said to do and it did not work. I have held down the button for multiple time periods (8 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds) throughout the multiple days that my tracker screen was blank and nothing ever happened.

I have since contacted support for a replacement as there is clearly a defect. Although I have had the device for less than 3 months and the device is supposed to be under warranty for 12 months the support I spoke with was unable to process any kind of replacement. What horrible customer service that is.

If I ever get a replacement (I am not giving up) I will use this device until it dies (I have never had a Fitbit last more than 2 years) and I will never purchase from this company again. I have been a customer for almost 5 years and cannot believe the unwillingness to help solve a device issue.
