Charge 3 display won't turn on

Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

It's the same here. Except that for clock face, mine says its changed as well yet there is no display. Probably we should contact Fitbit support. Fingers crossed that all goes well.

Yes contact Fitbit support for sure. Once you get a claim number they will email you back (you have to call initially and wait on hold forever)

They are sending me a new one!

Mine was faulty out of the box and Fitbit can’t get it working. They are replacing it. But that’s not quite the point, though welcome. It betrays very poor product development, testing and production at every stage.

Imagine the outcry if this was a more mainstream product. Imagine BMW or Mercedes having so many failures.........

I found this thread when googling this same issue I am having with my charge3.  It is less than 1year old and the screen went blank a little while ago. It vibrates and was tracking since I could see it synced to my phone. I had to unpair them and of course can’t repair  them now since I can’t see the screen.  Among others, I have tried your solution and nothing has worked. Any suggestions?  I like my charge3 and would really like to be able to use it again.

Have tried all ways to reset my charge 3, no luck. Even tried changing the clock face. And no dice... still counts steps and vibrates but the screen stays completely black.

Contact them as soon as you can. They have little choice but to replace it as they have so many faulty ones on their hands.

No luck - I get vibrations every second for about 8 seconds, then nothing. I release after 15 secs and snap the charger on, but no screen lights at all. Screen remains blank all the time, but device still tracks and links to my phone.

This is what mine is doing. I’m waiting for the battery to run out so it will restart.

Don’t bank on it restarting........

If you’ve tried all the ploys to get it to restart, chat or phone Fitbit. The odds are it will need replacing.

In Europe the warranty is two years......assuming you live in Europe that is!

I called fit bits customer support and since im within the warranty they are sending a new one free of charge

So happy to hear they are sending you a new one. I went with the Versa because I was having trouble with my Charge 2 it wasn’t a year old yet but I decided to give Fit bit another chance. I love the Versa no trouble at all. Hope your new one is great. Fit Bit is really a great Co.

Mine is having the same issue but the reset wont work? Is there anything I can do?

Classic charge 3 malady of which Fitbit are more than aware. Call or chat with them from their website. More than likely it will be replaced. Keep the straps; only the pebble is replaced.

I have tried the long restart and clock face changes several times and the smiley face does not appear. Over the past week more solid blanks lines appeared over the date a time lines on the display and now it is completely black. Button presses produce vibrations and the step counts still work. Seeing the number of issues reported regarding this issue I do not think the item is fit for purpose.

Thanks. That’s a good tip. They said the instructions for return were on the return label, but it doesn’t say anything about that.
