Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

Of you plugged it in, and while plugged in, you held the side button for
ten to 15 seconds, the smiley face should show up. If you did that and it
still isn't working, then use the app to change the clock face to something
else. The process takes awhile, so be patient. Once it is done, the screen
should work again. At that point you can change the clock face back to the
original. Hopefully one of those two things work since it still vibrates.

I don't mind helping others, as I would hope someone would do the same for
myself. However, this is clearly a large-scale issue with the Charge 3, but
it doesn't seem like FitBit is acknowledging it nor in a hurry to fix it.
This has been happening to people for a few months now!

It’s very wrong for them all to be playing up! I never had any problems with my previous Fitbit HR or Fitbit 2!

Yes, I have been very happy with my previous devices. I feel like the longer they don't acknowledge the issue and fix it, the more business they will lose. It will tarnish their brand.

One thing that strangely did work (which was my personal last ditch effort) was I tried changing the clock face since my Fitbit was still syncing to my phone. IT WORKED! The screen is back on!

I know this thread is older, but this same thing happened to me last night (black screen that won't turn on, but no sync issues). I plugged it into my computer to see if charging it made a difference (it just vibrated and screen stayed off).

Not sure if this has worked for anyone else, but it is definitely worth trying before contacting Fitbit support. I'll be reaching out if it continues to happen, but for now my Fitbit display is back to normal on my charge 3 Smiley Happy Good luck!

Hi try pressing the button on the side whilst it’s on charge. A line then a smiley face should come up. It did after reading other posts and it worked. Good luck.

Hi and thanks for the info. Right now I am still undecided as to purchasing a third Charge 3 as the first two had the same issue. Wondering if Fitbit has addressed the problem?

Wow really! You’re brave getting a third if you’ve had that many problems!

One moment my Fitbit Charge 3 worked and the next moment it was dead. Tried to reset it, charged it but nothing worked. Only a blank screen!

What to do?! Not even 2 months old!
