Charge 3 display won't turn on

Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

My Fitbit Charge 3 screen won't turn on.  It's fully charged.  It just vibrates when I press the side button.  I've left it plugged into a wall socket all night and plugged it into the computer as well.  I've re-synced it with my phone.  

Hey Fitbit service people what do I try next???  It's been this way since yesterday around noon.  We only got this for Christmas.

Try changing your clock face It worked for me.

I did that too, with no results, but changing the clock face brought it back instantly for me. Weird fix but I got it here on the chat forum.

I just had this happen as well but when I pushed and held the side button it didn't correct the issue. I'm travel to and didn't have the charger with me so couldn't see if charging would fix it. I went into the app and changed the clock face and that magically did the trick.

Try holding down the side button for about 15 seconds while it is plugged
in. Wait until it shows a smiley face and then it should reboot fine.
Otherwise you can try changing the clock face in the app. Has happened to
me twice now. Holding the button on the side while plugged in worked for
me. The second time I tried changing the clock face in the app and that
worked for me as well.

I wish that changing the clock face had worked for me. It won't install a new one and keeps giving me an error so it just made a bad problem even worse.

My Fitbit would connect to the app the display wouldn't turn on to read the
code to sync them. It was dead as a dodo!!! So I couldn't change face or
do anything.... Very disappointing! A brand new gift.

I have returned to Fitbit.... I await a replacement!!

Simply incredible that Fitbit simply does not respond on this post...! Mine has gone to a black screen to after a month. I was wearing it overnight, except for the last night, so guess there is a problem.

Returning this device for sure !! Cannot understand that Fitbit takes no inititiative on this post, while so many people bought a BRAND NEW watch, and it stops working after a short time !! This is 2019, you will lose customers cause this will be going widespread...

Mine is about 2 months old. Was fine up until today when i looked at it to check how i was doing on a bike ride and the screen went black and hasn't worked since....very frustrating as it was a big bike ride! Have tried charging it with no luck....thing is totally dead. Customer support said they would contact me back but haven't.  Off to to other side of the world next week so no time to get it sorted (especially with their response rate) , will have to buy a new fitness tracker tomorrow...and i can tell you for a fact it won't be a fitbit.

I had same problem. Fixed by connecting to Fitbit app and changed the clock face to another.

Not working. Interesting that on amazon 34% of reviews are 1 star and 40% 5 stars. Think the number of 1 stars will be rising soon as the the 5 stars wake up to find their devices have stopped working.

I had this issue happen today and I used Exfarmer's solution and it worked. Definitely annoying but at least the fix wasn't too hard - hopefully this bug gets addressed in a future software update.

glad it worked for you. Bit of a joke though that Fitbit customer support doesn’t bother offering any advice or support, instead forces users to rely on advice from untrained (albeit helpful and well meaning) people.

I had the same issue. Got as a Christmas gift. After many issues syncing it we got it working for 2weeks then the screen died. Tried doing the whole reset,change clock face etc, and nothing. Spent an hour with fitbit online and they said yeah it's not fixable they'd escalate the issue. I got an email 48 hours later asking that we repeat all the steps that we had already done ugh seriously crappy support and a waste of time. Finally they admitted there is a screen issue they can't fix so they are sending me a replacement in a week. We'll see how long this next one lasts, hopefully longer than 2 weeks. I miss my old charge hr. Had it 2 years. It worked great until the last update, it suddenly stopped syncing, go figure.
