Press and hold the side virtual button for 10 seconds until you see the smile face. Let go of the button and press it again to see the display.

Put it on the charger. Press the virtual side button for 10 seconds until you see the smile face. Remove from charger. All should be well.

Mine wouldn't connect to app as screen wouldn't display code. I returned to
Fitbit I. The Netherlands following a conversation with their CS team. It
hasn't been delivered yet.... They have said they will issue a new device
within 5 days of receiving faulty device.

Try changing your clock face in the app. It worked for me. Good luck!

Hey guys, for some reason mine was blank today too after working fine for weeks. Go into the app and change the clock face, that fixed it for me! You can change it back after, I think it just needed to restart the display .

I had the same problem but I fixed it by charging it fully and then going onto the Fitbit app and changing the clock face. I was able to see the clock download on my Fitbit and it turned on and works fully once again.

I received my Charge 3 for a Christmas gift, so it's less than 1 month old. It went black one morning, but I thought that the battery was just dead, even though my phone said it was at medium life. I charged it for about 8 hours, but the display still remained black. After reading these comments, I went to put it on the charger, and held the button for about 8 seconds, and the  smiley face appeared. My Charge 3 regained consciousness. So far, so good. I will update, if there is any change. I gave the same tracker to my daughters fiance', so I hope that he doesn't have the same problem. If this is a software problem, I hope that Fitbit can resolve it with an upcoming update.

This worked for me.  The first time a line went across the screen.  Second time a happy face.  All good now.

Thank you so much! This solved it for me.

I had tried holding down the side button to reset it and it didn't work.

But then I put I on the charger and held the side button for 10 seconds while it was in the charger and I got the smiley face and it restarted and is working now.
