Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

I was having the same issue. I just tried the method of leaving it on the charger and holding down the button until it reset and through some sort of voodoo, it worked.

I have been using my Charge 3 for about 2 months quite successfully, but the screen went from being fully functional to completely black. When charging and syncing to my phone, I see that the Fitbit is nearly 100 % charged...so battery is not the issue. I have been holding the "button" and I feel the fitbit vibrate. I count to 8 to 12 seconds and release. No response after several minutes...any suggestions please?
Very disappointed as this seems to be a problem given the number of posts.

I had the same problem. I pre-ordered the Charge 3, have been using it for a while and it has been fine. Then this morning, it vibrated so I looked to see if I had a message and the screen would not come on. If I pressed the button on the side, it would vibrate but still no screen. I looked on this forum and tried the suggestion about putting it on the charger and holding down the button until the happy face comes on and it worked for me. Clearly, this is an issue many people are having and I hope that Fitbit addresses it.

I had the same issue.
Possible work around that worked for me. Open phone app. Change your clock display face selection on your app and apply. When I did that the display magically came back. I set it back to my preferred clock face and it continued to work.

I bought my charge 3 today and have just set it up. I just get a blank screen and the side button vibration when it comes off the charger. Seems like many users have the same issue. Please advise.

Don't know if anyone else has done this but I changed my clock face on app which reconnected with watch and yay working again. Had same problem and drove me mad. Quick fix hopefully will work for some

Having the Same issue...bought the charge 3 in the last 90 days and display wont go on...appears to be synching and counting...now what? Please advise. Thank you

Hey @AngeGTb, I was thinking I'd have to go return mine because I was stuck with the blank screen and connecting/pressing the side button wouldn't work. I tried your workaround (change clock face on app) and THAT did the trick, so thanks.

Mine is now doing the same thing. Just a blank screen. But stil vibrates when touched. I attempted to reset, charge, leave pff for awhile, nothing is making it work again. I purchased this directly from Fitbit....can i return??

I have been having this same issue and was on the verge of returning the fitbit, but I tried the solution posted by CVShort. Connected to charger, held button for exactly 10 seconds, got the smiley face, disconnected from charger and now my fitbit is on.

Tried a few resets with no joy! Changed the clock face in the settings to a new one and surprise it worked! Hope this helps!

Thank you it got mine working. Pissed to see it didn’t track my steps all day, no telling how long that’s been going on, I don’t look at it often
