Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

I was having the same issue as the other posters and I tried changing the clock face on the Fitbit App as suggested and it worked!  This is a great temporary fix but hopefully Fitbit can issue a permanent fix.

Having this same issue which is ironic since I had it on my HR2 after a year. This one I've had for about a month and screen went blank after charging and won't come back on.

Very disappointing.

My Charge 3 display is completely blank although the tracker still syncs with the dashboard on my mobile.   I’ve tried charging and ooressubg the button to try to reboot but no joy!

ive only had it a few weeks.

Try opening up the FitBit app from your phone and click on your watch in the top left corner of the screen.

Change the watch face to something different.

Restarted the watch and the fitbit mobile app.

Set the watch back to its original view.

Everything should be working normally again as long as the device can still communicate actively with your phone or mobile device. Any sort of runtime system that is continuous can experience issues; in this case, possibly your Charge 3 watch face which transmits to your display. If this were to act or become corrupted, then your display may appear to have stopped working. Even a restart won't fix it if something became corrupt. Write back a new watch face to the watch, which will correct any corruption present before, and you should be on your way!

Please let me know if this works for you.

Try changing the clock display. That has worked for some other people on
this thread.

I have just this minute solved the problem by re booting the tracker. I
was about to get in touch.

Thanks for your help.

I have the exact same problem. My Charge 3 was working perfectly one minute then I look down and it was a blank screen. It was at 96% charge last time I checked on it which was half an hour before it turned off. I went to plug it in and nothing happened, it didn't vibrate, the screen just stayed black. I thought maybe the battery died so I kept it plugged in for 2 hours, nothing happened, it just got really warm. I tried to press the button on the side in hopes to restart it, but again nothing happens, just a black screen. I don't know what to do. Should I keep it on the charger and wait to see if It'll turn on? Should I just send it back for a new one? Am I just wasting my time on this product?

@Sprengers

Try changing the watch face from your fitbit app.

The solution in my case was to reboot the Charge 3. I have to say that only my display was missing and the tracker was still syncing to the app.

Same problem happened to me, charge was fine but screen would not turn on. I tried changing my clock display with my phone, then it worked again. Maybe try that, see if it helps. Good luck!

I put my Charge 3 in the charging cradle, powered it up and pressed the button for at least 10 seconds until a smiley face showed on the screen. The tracker rebooted and all is well now.
Beforehand tracker was still responding to the app and the display appeared to be the only fault.

Perhaps someone can come up with a solution for you. My Charge 3 was OK
after a reboot.
