Charge 3 display won't turn on

Second charge 3 - first went  blank after 2 days.  This one lasted 17 months.  Have gone through a claim a week ago but have heard nothing back.  Is this common?  Vibrates when pushing button for restart, and sync OK with phone, but cannot read what is happening.  What can be done.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting, I'm sorry to know that our Customer Support team haven't contacted you yet. To provide you assistance in the meantime they send you information and because restarting your Charge 3 didn't solve the issue, please follow the next steps to perform a long restart process and let me know if the issue persists:

 

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Thanks for that, however cannot get past first base..... the device does not show any icons, even after pressing the button for 15 seconds.  The screen is jus blank, however I do get the vibrations.
