Have had my charge 3 for little over a year now and these problems have started to surface the past few weeks. This only ever happens with the run function on the Fitbit, walks are usually tracked accurately. I’ve adjusted my stride length and looked over those settings so not to do with stride length.
My Fitbit GPS tracks inaccurately - it is connected to my phone which is off battery saving mode, with good 4g and Bluetooth signal, so the Fitbit/phone is connected properly, but the gps is not accurate at all during the run. I will finish my runs and Fitbit will have tracked a lot less distance travelled than what I actually covered and undercut me!
During the run the current and average pace watch faces are also wildly inaccurate and freeze on a pace which I’m running far faster than. For example, 2 days ago during a run, my average pace said I was running at 5:54/Km throughout the entire run (I perhaps started at this pace but it never changed) but I finished the run with an average pace of 5:16/km. it’s just not accurate.
I’ve rebooted my charge 3 numerous times and looked through lots of forums to try find a solution but nothing is changing! The gps is so inaccurate - it sometimes tracks me as running through houses to cut corners on the roads I actually run - and it’s messing up the pace functions of my exercise.
any suggestions would be very much welcomed, thank you!!
