Charge 3 is dead… it did a sync and update on Monday 15th Aug and since then it won’t charge, won’t turn on, won’t reset/restart…my app just says no battery and keeps looking for it.
I have cleaned the charging terminals, tried different USB plugs (wall and MAC socket), it just constantly buzzes every 5 secs but does nothing else….which is really annoying!
Any other suggestions?

As you probably are aware, all rechargeable batteries have a limited life and recharge cycles. They all degrade over time, and the Charge 3 is now quite an old device in electronics terms. There is probably nothing you can do to help it at this stage.
If you would like to upgrade - and there are some really super newer Fitbits now available, it might be worth getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.Fitbit.com . Sometimes they are able to offer discounts on new devices to loyal customers who are ready to upgrade.

I recommend restarting the trackers. If the restart process doesn't work, perform a long restart: Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds
