Charge 3 exclamation mark on the screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge 3 shows an exclamation mark on the display since several days now, it's frozen on the screen. Though it kept syncing with my phone correctly and it tracked all my activities. Today I tried restarting the device with the charging cable on my computer. The device reacted by shutting down but now I can't get it to start anymore. It doesn't respond to anything. I also restarted my phone but this didn't help either. Now the tracker doesn't register my activities either. What else can I do?

Hi there @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about your Charge 3's recent behavior, I understand where your concern is coming from. Thanks for the details provided provided in your post and for taking the time to try fixing your tracker prior to posting here. I'll be glad to continue to help you.

When you performed the restart on your Charge 3, did you feel a vibration? If your tracker did not vibrate, please try the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hello, thank you for your reply! I did feel a vibration when I restarted the tracker. I am still wearing it and it vibrates whenever I touch the button. But since I posted yesterday, the screen remains totally blank. I also can't restart the tracker anymore with the charger, it just vibrates and then nothing happens. But it does track my activities again and I can sync it with my phone (Android).

Hi there @SunsetRunner, thanks for getting back and for the update.

Since your tracker is still vibrating and syncing, I'd suggest try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process.

Would you also mind letting me know if you've tried what I recommended in my previous post?

Hello

I tried all of these steps:

Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable.

If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.

Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.

Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable.

Restart your Fitbit once again.

Everything worked fine, but I am still having the same issues with my device. The screen is blank but it still vibrates, tracks my activities and charges.
