Any new ideas on how to get the face of my Charge 3 working again because it’s not even 1 year old yet? I’ve tried restarting it both ways and I’ve changed clock faces loads of times but to no avail ???

Thanks for reply. Yes I’ve done both 8sec & 15sec restarts and changed clock faces at least 15 to 20 times and the face is still black and I’m so disappointed because I was enjoying the results of my endeavours. Since it was less than a year old when this happened and I have the receipt does the guarantee cover me for a replacement?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Anoroc20.

I've moved your post to Charge 3 board so we can keep our forums organized.

I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 screen is blank while the tracker is fully charged. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. Since you've tried already to restart the device and change a clock face, I would like to confirm if you've tried to do a restart by using the 15-second method:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

My charge 3 is fully charged and I have tried 15 seconds restart at least 10 times. It vibrates a number of times when restarting but no smiley face or battery indicator.... nothing? Changed clock faces multiple times. Nada

Also having the same experience with my Charge 3. It's a year and 3 months old.

I am having the same issue. Tried the reset. Fitbit vibrates but nothing showing on the screen.

Same here. According to Fitbit, it's toast. If you've had it more than a year, you're out of luck.

Thanks for saving me the aggravation of being on hold. But dang! Shouldn’t they last more than a year?

Mine is similarly going toast. Screen just keeps dimming to the point where now I barely can read it indoors. Battery level and screen settings make no difference (except "dim" effectively turns the screen completely off instead of almost off).

Since I'm out of warranty, Fitbit CS offered me 25% off buying a new Charge 3. Umm...no thank you.  I'm not paying anything for a product with an obvious design flaw.

The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if is somehow related to the release of the Charge 4, push people to buy it who otherwise wouldn't because it's very similar to the Charge 3.

Regardless, very disappointed and I'm sorry for all of you in the same boat.

When I bought mine, I certainly expected it to last more than a year. Super disappointing. More disappointing Fitbit isn't doing more to help all of their disgruntled customers. Two of my friends have the same issue with their Charge 3,.

Same problem with me.  Mine is 1 year and 9 months old.

Did all the steps, still not lighting up!

This is my second Fitbit, the first one had wristband failure twice. Apparently design flaw. My son replaced it with the Charge 3 for the heartrate component almost two years ago. My first Fitbit lasted just over a year.  Looks like this one has builtin obsolescence! Not happy! I will stop telling my friends and doctors to buy a Fitbit.

Most agree it's a design flaw. Yes, I also posted on my two Facebook pages to steer clear. Garmin seems to be a good choice. This manufacturer has no intention of admitting this flaw and making customers happy. I did write to the CEO.

If it's under a year old, you'll get a new one. For the majority of us that had this issue, over a year, we just threw our money away. I'd be curious to know if anyone has a Charge 3 work for 2 years or more. Or maybe the word is shocked.

I've had mine 1 year and 5 months. It restarts with the 15-second reset, but within a day the screen is black again. It's very disappointing.

My charge 3 remains with a blank black screen & unable to set it and exactly the same as when I first wrote here and was still less than a year old so can you arrange a replacement for me please ?
Do remember many times I’ve tried the 8 sec & 15 restart and the clock face changes to get it going but all to no avail. I await to hear from you!!

This is crazy. I had the charge 2 and had no issues. I ve had 2 charge 3's display go blank. This is unacceptable and i hear this is common. I ve been a fitbit user a long time and very disappointed at the quality they are putting out now. Gonna try a garmin and hopefully if enough of us do this they ll up the quality
