Charge 3 faded screen and intermittent vibrations

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

About a month ago, my Fitbit Charge 3 screen started getting fainter and fainter to the point I couldn't read it. I tried a factory reset, to no avail. I then changed the clock display in an attempt to have pertinent information visible in the small area where the display was a little stronger. But now, it's entirely unreadable. I kept wearing it at least hoping to track the data, but now the watch is intermittently emitting these strong vibrations for I don't know what reason. They differ from my normal notification settings and got disruptive enough that I can't wear it anymore. It's a bummer as I've only had the watch for 2 years. Any help would be appreciated!

Mine is doing the same thing minus vibrations. 8 have tried everything to fix it and nothing has worked. And of course warranty is only good 1 year. Nothing is made to last anymore.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @jsj224 and @Hendrixashley.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand how you are feeling and recommend confirming if you've tried the following:

  1. Restart the device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Long restart:
  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Thanks, LiliyaFitbit! I did try the long restart. I just kept holding down
on the button for maybe like 30 seconds trying to sense all the different
vibrations. I felt a couple of the initial ones, but was unable to see what
was being displayed on the screen as my screen is pretty much all black
now.
