Thanks Bob.

I called and convinced support to send me a new unit.  I was basically told that lots of things can effect the floors count and that wasn't something they considered a problem.  They only sent me the new one because of the other issues (freezing up, not syncing active hours, and not always logging sleep.)  Overall the new one is not any better than the last one.  My advice is for people to pass on the Charge3.

I agree. There seems to be no fix for this problem and FitBit doesn’t seem to care to do anything about it.

Mine was a gift because they knew i wanted one. They kept it past return date to give for my birthday. I cant return this **ahem**. My girlfriend is just out a bunch of money to a company with either no morals or zero cares, once they have your money. Tell everyone you can to stay away from them. Need to hit forums other than this. Shareholders must not be customers because i couldnt own shares in this crap

I have to admit I don't care about the blasted step count -- because I really do no flights of stairs -- so when I get 25 in a day (only occasionally) I can ignore it, but I would be much happier if could remove it from the fitbit screen the way I have removed it from the app and the windows page report.

I believe there is a one year warranty. I would call and get them to refund
the money. Good luck.

How did you remove it from the app?

@Jfl9989  - I don't believe you can remove it from the app ... but, you can hide it on the desktop dashboard by unselecting it.  Of course, it doesn't go away ... you just don't have the errors staring you in the face.

Hi everyone.

We totally understand how you feel and we appreciate your feedback for the Fitbit environment, customer service and devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.

Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.

In this case I'd recommend that you read through this help article that explain why extra floors might have been counted. Do keep in mind that things like opening doors, AC, driving a car and drafts of air could cause to changes in air pressure and thus increase the floors counted.

Having said that, you can manually delete those floors and steps that you have gotten while driving or not actually doing those floors.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

As mentioned it is hidden. On the web page the tile can be hidden, on the phone app I think you can touch the screen to activate edit and then just remove the floor count icon. -- Out of sight out of mind and I don't scroll that far on the watch very often, so it is mostly out of sight.

@MarreFitbit  @EmilyEL - Thank you for posting something...anything to let us know that someone from Fitbit is reading this forum thread. I'm afraid, however, that that is where the thanks end.

Please understand that we have all already been referred to the help article on things that may interfere with Fitbit Floor Counts already. The Help article does absolutely nothing to help us...kind of like Customer Support.  Please understand that we don't care what is causing the erroneous Floor Counts.  We only want it fixed or taken away until Fitbit finds a way to make it more stable, reliable and accurate.

Please don't tell us that we can manually delete the errors the Fitbit racks up.  I mean REALLY???  Ok, so maybe that would help those who accumulate Floor Counts while driving...but, really, should they have to do that?  Shouldn't Fitbit find a way to make its products work as expected instead?  And then there are those of us like myself whose erroneous Floor Counts occur while we are walking.  Am I supposed to delete all my steps too???

The ONLY reason I haven't accepted the offer by Customer Support for a return and refund is because I truly love the user interface in your app.  If not for that, I would've gone Garmin several devices ago. So, PLEASE do not insult us with crap corporate responses that are of no value to us. And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get someone to not only listen to our concerns and frustrations, but to DO something about them.

I have given up expecting actual results. In addition to this, my Charge 3 does not properly sync to my Samsung Galaxy 10+ phone. It synced fine before I got the new phone, and my old Charge 2 syncs fine with the 10+. They keep telling me that the 10+ isn't compatible with their app, but why not? Why wouldn't you keep your app in sync with the latest phones? I was ready to ditch it for the Samsung smart watch, but that won't sync with my WW app, so I just pretty much gave up.

For now, if my Charge 2 is near my Charge 3, for some reason that is way beyond my level of comprehension, the two fitbits sync together and then the Charge 2 syncs with the app. I tired of trying to get help from Fitbit on anything. It is a pointless thing to attempt.

Thank you,

Yes, I have another question. Why don’t you fix it? My Garmin never had this problem.

I have the same problem with my 2 Fitbit’s syncing to each other and then the one with the lower step count synchs to the app! So I lose steps! I also have toughed it out for the WW synching but Apple Watch synchs to WW too, so I guess I’m headed that route.

This response is too little, too late, and to be honest it’s downright insulting. You obviously did not thoroughly read the thread and digest that most of us have already tried your “fixes” and they don’t work - that being the whole point of the thread. Seriously, you’ll be lucky if you don’t get sued for false advertising considering you acknowledge the problem and yet still market the devise as if it accurately counts floors. That is downright false advertising, deceitful, and a slap in the face to consumers not to mention illegal. Perhaps a bit of contrition was in order as a response instead of more excuses?

Well, at least I know I am not crazy saying my two fitbits sync together. If I had Apple or any other choice to sync with WW, I would have been long gone!

I gave my Charge 2 to my mom and  the only way to work around the 2 Fitbits sync'ing together was to set up 2 different Fitbit accounts on my phone for each Fitbit.  I usually have my phone logged into my Charge 3 but when I need to update my mom's Charge 2, I log out of mine and log into her account to update.

Try this method if you don't mind having 2 accounts.  It's not the most convenient but it works.

That’s absurd! Two Fitbit’s will sync with each other? Like with anyone? OMG Fitbit, you’re losing one customer after another! I got the C3 so I could wear it swimming and I like the message displays better, but I’m on my 2nd one (warranty replacement bc it started tracking wild heart rates, then just plain died) and it will be my last. They’ll never get a recommendation from me!
