I just received a text and email that my charge 3 battery was low but the charge 3 showed 50 per cent and the app said medium. What level should the charge 3 be at when you recharge the watch

I've recently received low battery notifications at 43% and also at 50%. Never used to receive them until about 18%.
Have contacted Fitbit to see what they say.

This low battery warning is new as of the latest App update from a day or two ago. Interesting that official help people (Moderator) don't know this. The heart rate graph scales BTW were also changed, with the results being much harder to read. Very "spiky" now. Someone "over there" changed a few things, and in my opinion not more useful. Please change back. Thank you.
I'll try the reset mentioned, but that didn't work for not auto-registering exercises, so not holding my breath. But, hey, maybe this time.

I also got the low battery msg at 50 % a few days ago. This morning I got it again at 32%. The app.shows me at medium battery.

As mentioned by @MoparAz this seems to be related to an app update. My problem earlier was that the notify when low battery feature did not work. I did not get any notifications when battery level was low (besides the low battery indicator showing up on the charge3 home screen itself). But not very useful to get a low battery level notification when the level is at 48% as I get now. I'll try a reset of my charge3 as well.

I've gotten the same message twice now - yesterday and again this morning. My battery level is currently 40% and showing as Medium in the app. Something is wrong in the software somewhere.

Fitbit contacted me and asked me to send a photograph of the notification I’d received. They confirmed that my Fitbit was charged at 50 and that they would look into it. Received another message to charge at around 37% so sent that too.

Does anyone know when Fitbit starts emailing you telling you that the battery is low and to plug it in? I thought it was down to 10-15% but I got two emails recently. One when it was at 50% and one when it’s at 38%

In the past we got them when under 20%. My wife got one Friday at 39% and me at 48% today. I see the app was updated 6-13-2019. Coincidence or problem?

I just bought the Charge3 a month or so ago, and the original low battery alarms were around 20-25% like my Charge 2. But the latest one was 50%, so something has changed. I was looking for a setting to set the %, but can't find one.

It gets worse! Just had a low battery alert at 60%!

Fitbit have now instructed me to
go to my account
scroll down to push notifications - turn OFF "low battery", then
Sync fit bit.
Go back to my account -
scroll to push notifications
turn ON "low battery"
sync Fitbit again.
Hopefully this will work??

Mine is charging now but I'll give it a try and see if it helps.

I have the same problem. Charge 3 at 48% and I get low battery notification email. Is there a reason why we now get these notifications at around 50%? If so, what is it

I was wondering if this is the first time you get the low battery notification when your Charge 3 is at 50%?
Your Charge 3 should notify you with a battery low message when it's at 18%, this is expected behavior, it indicates that you have 1 day of battery life yet. You should be able to dismiss it by pressing the button.
However, since yours it notifying you at 50% I'd recommend to restart your Charge 3 and reset the notifications alerts for battery low (turn them off/on). For more information, see: How do I choose which alerts Fitbit sends me?
Also note that if you're seeing a different battery level on your tracker and Fitbit app, this may be due to the last time you synced. The battery icon on your Fitbit app updates the level every time you sync and if you haven't synced yet the app will remain a battery low percentage. That can be another reason of the message you got.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.
Yes this was the first time I got a notification at 50%

Over the past few days, I’ve been getting the same alert at 47%, 52% and 57%. I thought it might have something to do with having switched to Valerie clockface a few days ago. Nice to see it’s likely related to the app update.
