I am very careful with my Fitbit, but just about a few days ago it suddenly started having multiple horizontal black bars across the screen, to the point that the time is half gone on my layout.
I did a soft AND hard reset with no luck. I purchased it new from Best Buy but not sure how long ago. But based on Application data in the fitbit.com website of my device, I think it was around November 30th, 2019.

I have the same problem. It started a couple of days ago. I brought mine last July so still in warranty. I'm interested in any of your replies/ advice.

How did you get in contact with them? I've tried to phone and live chat but can't get through.

Me too - I have been careful in it but i am getting more lines across it each week.
I have changed the closk display and sone a hard and soft reset but no difference

Seems strange maybe it's a fault in the charge 3, I never had a problem with my original charge.

Hi yes thank you I managed to get through at dinner n they are sending a replacement. Was going to write a comment on here once I'd walked the dog etc 😃 pleased your sorted too.
