Hello. Mine has dead pixels in a horizontal row also. This is the 3rd charge 3 to fail.
Original Nov 2018 -> black screen
April 2019 -> fading screen
June 2020 -> dead pixels in december
Please replace with one that lasts more than a year.

Update: I called Fitbit customer service and takes to someone right away. He was very accommodating and super nice. Told him no one was getting back to people on forum. He said Fitbit will contact me via email. And they did immediately but said it was outside warranty. (I think I got December 2019). They gave me 35% off regular priced devices. Just received my new charge 4. There is a note that u should take off and let it dry. I showered with my charge 3 since swimming was ok. I’m hoping that keeping new one dry will prevent screen damage. Not only was charge 3 pixelated but I didn’t realize how dim it got. Charge 4 is a big difference.

Have you checked the brightness level on your fitbit? Brightness will offer "auto", "normal" and "dim". You may find that your brightness is on "dim". Put it on "normal" and you should be back in business.

Totally agree. This is my 4th fitbit in 4 years. This will be my last.

I commented on this forum several months ago about lines across my screen, this being my second Fitbit in 1.5 years to have this issue. I have been receiving the updates as people continue to comment with the same issues, and have seen a few responses by Fitbit with ridiculous advice to reset the Fitbit as if that’s going to change anything. Once my current Fitbit dies due to this issue, I will not be purchasing another. To be honest, it’s absurd that Fitbit has taken no measures to provide useful advice or to own up to this clearly rampant issue.

Exactly. there are clearly defective batches where thousands of people report a black screen, dimming pixels and dead pixels. I upgraded to the charge 4. Let's see how many months this lasts. I'm basically leasing a fitbit device for 6 months at a time.

I understand where you are coming from and it is very frustrating that they haven't an answer for us.. My screen no longer has the lines through it, it is blank now.. It still works with the app but I can not longer see anything at all on the screen. My husband went through 3 fitbits in one year with this problem and it to died with a blank screen.after his year of warranty was up.. I have no desire to buy another for a fitbit that only lasts a year. For the cost of the fitbit I would tend to think it would last longer than a year or a year and a half.. Their solution to fix the problem is to offer you a discount to buy another fitbit. Thanks but no thanks.. I hope you can get your problem resolved but I didn't.. I sure wish there was a solution for I used to love and depend on my fitbit.. Good luck to you!! ")
