My charge 3 is less than a year old. Grey lines have appeared across the screen making it dim and difficult to read, nothing is displayed properly. Don't know what caused this?

Hi there @Murph66, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3's screen has developed grey lines and it has also gone dim, I understand where your concern is coming from. I'll be glad to help you.

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. Check if by any chance your Charge 3 it's still syncing. If that's the case, try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps : How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process.
  2. Restart your Charge 3 by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the steps above don't work, I suggest performing a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again
