Charge 3 has died, tried everything!

Had my Charge 3 for about 18 months now, last two days I have had the following problems:

- Charge 3 screen is completely blank

- Not connecting to bluetooth/app

- Not responding to plugging into USB/laptop

- Tried force restart (connecting to USB + holding button for 8 secs), doesn't work

- When I press the button, it vibrates constantly and stops as soon as I release the button

- The red light is permanently on at the back

- Tried full reset (connecting to USB + holding button for 15 secs, then disconnecting & reconnecting), doesn't work

Would appreciate if someone could help me as I'm going mad here! Thanks

I am having the same issue after my iPhone completed a software update. Fitbit completely dead and useless to me.

My Charge 3 has the same issue. The screen is black, it won't reset (vibrates when I push the button but that's it). Won't sync to my Galaxy S10. It seems like it gets lost every month or so and stops working.

I'm having the same issue.  Screen is completely black.  I put it on the charger and it got so hot I almost couldn't touch it.  Prior to going completely dead it wouldn't stay synced with my phone.  This has happened to me before with a Charge 3, but it has been a couple of years.

Mine died yesterday! 16 months old. Time for an Apple Watch?

Google Fitbit support then click on Chat online - mine was similar after 11 months - I just got a new replacement delivered to me today after my chat online Monday morning at 10am. 4 days for a replacement is quite amazing!!!

Glad you got a replacement.  Mine is 11 months old too and has done the same as yours.  How do I go about getting help please?

Type into google Fitbit support

scroll down and click on chat online

fill in the window that comes up

be patient as this is the first time they are made aware of your issue. They will ask you to do that 15 sec and change clock face etc but from that they know if your charge 3 is defective. Honestly they are very helpful and I know from my dealings With them they are very efficient also. Do that & good luck

Just did the helpline and since my watch is 4 months past the 12 month
warranty they will only give me a discount on certain styles. I will look
at other options because I find it suspicious that you pay a good amount of
money for a device only to have it stop working just after the warranty
expires.

They're sending a replacement under warranty.

I've had mine for 1.5 years and it seems to be tracking via the app but the screen won't do anything. I tried to restart it and the clock change but nothing works! Anyone know of other tricks to address it? I'd consider getting a new one but I don't want to have to replace my Fitbit every year and half. That seems like a waste!

This is my 3rd Charge 3 in about 2 years... keep sending replacements but they die within a year.  Mine is now randomly blinking, charges then drains within an hour, recharge, reset and lasts only an hour.  Very frustrating.   Giving it up and going to something else.   Is the Charge 4 any improvement on the battery life?

Same here just started acting up last night, tried all the resets, works for about 20 minutes, than blinks, goes into dark mode...no way this is a coincidence that all the 3 simply a dying tin the last few hours...

My Charge 3 just died a few days ago and it is my second in 3 years. This one is only 7 months old. My husband did some research and changed the clock face and reset like ten times. It will be fine for a minute and say it’s fully charged but then the battery warning comes on and shuts off immediately.

This is exactly what happened to mine too.

I was chatting through their support page, and he ran through the basics and then said, "Someone from the warranty department will reach out to you."

Didn't provide a case number or any other information and it's been 4 days without anything. Very frustrated.

Wow that is frustrating. I’m feeling like I’m over the whole thing. I love the product when it’s working but I’m sick of going through these issues every 6-12 months. I had 2 Charge 2s before and now I’m on the second Charge 3. They’ve all just stopped working for no reason.

Just tried going back to the Online Chat and it's saying

"Sorry about that. Looks like someone just snagged the last Fitbit chat
representative.

If you can, please call us at (844) 434-8248."

This doesn't make any sense, guys. You think CALLING would be faster, or
was there a software glitch that's causing everyone's devices' to die?
