Charge 3 has gray/white vertical lines on screen

My Fitbit has gray/white vertical lines on the screen. I tried troubleshooting myself by putting it on the charger since it was dying and doing a hard restart. It unfortunately didn’t help.

Hi @Trisha_Takeda, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Charge 3 since the screen showed vertical lines. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know how the hard reset was performed. In the meantime, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed.

Looking forward to your response.

Hello,

Thank you for your response!
I saw that there was a similar issue in the forum and tried the following steps that where provided:

Long restart steps:
Connect the device to the charging cable.
While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
The device turns off.
The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
However, after step 2, there was a line that completed in increments and my Fitbit didn’t turn off, a smiley face popped up.

Also, per your request to make sure that I have a clock face developed by Fitbit, I’ve had the Charge 2 Retro, so that shouldn’t be the issue.

Thanks,
Trisha
