Charge 3 has lines across the screen

Hi I have lines across my screen, this is my 3rd charge 3 only had this one 3 months. Done all the trouble shooting. The re set. Changed clock face, updated app and no fix. 
just  gets worse! 
Please advise.

Hi @Nich17, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Charge 3 is showing lines across. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try a long restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again and see if the lines disappear from the screen.

My Charge 3 also has a bright horizontal line that appeared earlier today. I have changed the clock face twice, rebooted and deleted user data, no change. I tried to follow the above instructions, but after about 5 seconds on the button, I see a progress bar which only partially completes before the happy face appears. No vibrations.

This cleared up on my Charge 3 the following day without any further intervention on my part.

I also had the following day fixing up by itself experience regarding this issue. Thing is that Fitbit has already sent me a replacement in the mail. I feel guilty - should I ask for repayment to them?
