To Whomever Reads This Post,

I gave up, there does not seem to be permanent fix for this problem in the
for seeable future (at least for the Charge 3). My Charge 3 will come back
for short periods and then quits after getting my hopes up. So I just use
alternative work around (Samsung Galaxy Fit, which has its own issues) and
the Charge 3 as my backup when I need to recharge the alternative (which by
the way is more frequent than the Charge 3).

I wonder if their new product, the Charge 4 has these problems. I would be
very skeptical of purchasing it unless there is an ironclad guarantee
regarding remedy and/or reimbursement in the event problems such as
encountered with their other products.

I hope this is the last I have to say on this subject. It is a
disappointment when a product that you have loved and endorsed for many
years, disappoints in such a spectacular manner. In my humble opinion it is
just a very poor business decision on the part of the parent company of
Fitbit to allow issues such as this to undermine the relationship users had
with the Fitbit products. I have not researched the impact these issues had
on the market for Fitbit products, but I would assume that they have lost
some ground. You would think that by now that they would have put a bit
more effort into resolving issues with their products, in an effort to
retain their customer base.

My mom has a Fitbit charge 4 and she loves it. Mine is a charge 3 and its worked for the past few months. I think ill be getting a charge 4 next month! I just hope mine fixes by itself. 🤷‍:female_sign:

I can’t seem to get my charge 3 to vibrate with any of my notifications. It worked originally and then stopped working. I got it working last week for about 3 days and now nothing. I’ve checked all my settings and restarted it and still nothing works. So frustrating 😞

If it doesn’t vibrate when you plug it into the charger then the vibrator is defective.  If it’s in the warranty period still, get in touch with Fitbit customer service and they will send you a replacement (after they walk you through a bunch of troubleshooting steps).

Thanks for the reply. I should have been a little more clear. It can still vibrate, alarms works, vibrates when I charge it, it just doesn’t vibrate for my notifications. It did once tonight, but that’s it. It’s so frustrating.

If you long press the fitbit’s side button, you can make sure that Notifications are enabled. Sometimes it can get disabled by accident when using the device.

Nope. Have tried everything. I no longer get phone/text notifications. Nothing has fixed the problem. I’d consider getting a charge 4 but not sure it would help

I did figure that out and the notifications are on. I’ve turned them off and back on multiple times and nothing 😞

This is just over a year old and I don’t think I’d buy another Fitbit product after this one.

My sentiments exactly.

Good luck, but it probably will not get any better.

Good luck, I'm sceptical of the Four.

Binky, I think it may have something to do with the new Charge 4. When the Charge 3 came out I had a Charge 2. Suddenly certain features stopped working on my Charge 2.  After numerous calls to Fitbit I was told they disabled these features on the Charge 2 after consulting with customers but the features would be available on the new Charge 3!

Don’t bother. My daughter is having the same problem with her Charge 2!

Seems to be a Fitbit problem. My daughter is having the same issue with her Charge 2!

Nothing works. Fitbit knows they need a software update and won’t even answer our questions. Seriously thinking about switching to an Apple Watch. Too bad such bad customer service is driving customers away

I ditched my Fitbit and switched to an Apple Watch about 2 months ago. I haven’t looked back!

This did not work for me ☹️. After a software update.  the screen dimmed. It was so dark I could barely see it. I missed logging two exercise routines. I had to reset the device and go back to Setting to brighten it. Now, the device will NOT vibrate when I hit 10,00 steps. It is set to "strong" This  is device is way too much work. Wished I had done my research before I purchased this

Restarting my Charge 3 did not get the vibrations to work for the 10 minutes before the hour. A second restart and still not working. This really messes my steps if I haven’t got the number I want done.
