I think there's an actual issue with my fitbit but thought I'd post in here to see if anyone else was experiencing a similar issue.
I bought my charge 3 just under two weeks ago. Last Friday, I noticed my screen looked faded and had white lines running through it. I have tried to reset it three times as generally suggested with no such luck.
I haven't damaged it in any way and I've continued to wear it in the shower as I wasn't concerned due to it being waterproof. The day the faded screen/lines appeared was when the battery was very low - but that's the only thing I can think of and surely a low battery should'nt lead to this?
Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated before I have to take it back. I've tried to add a picture to this thread but can't for some reason.
Many Thanks

I understand. I have had problems with two of their other products. I received replacements and you are right they didn't last long. When there are known problems the company should pull the product and replace them with an updated version that doesn't have the known problems. At any rate, I am hoping the next one works. I will have to decide what to do. Will probably be a strike three. Good luck. I hope the replacement last for a long while. Best.

My charge 3 has been reliable for more than a year but suddenly the white vertical lines appear and won't go away after I restart. See the photo
How to fix this?

I tried several clock face, they all distorted with that amount of white lines and I think the screen is less responsive than it was now. What triggered this sudden drop in performance? I never mistreated my fitbit, always took it off when showering only wear it underwater when swimming in the pool.

I didn't do anything with mine. I don't wear it in the shower, while sleeping and even take it off when I wash dishes. This is my 3rd version. I had an Alta, a Charge and now the Charge 3. I have had problems with all three. Like most of you said they know there are problems with their devices, which is probably why they do an updated version. Their UAT doesn't seem to be as good as it should be. They do a one time replacement with the same device that had known problems. The folks who answer the phones are usually nice. After that, they wash their hands of the problems with the devices. At some point it will cause problems for the company.
They use foreign call centers and I don't know where their production centers are. From the Motley Fool "The company, which has historically manufactured its products in China, has not been directly impacted by tariffs yet, although the tensions have been affecting the global macro outlook. Fitbit is now moving its manufacturing operations out of China in order to avoid tariffs." Here is an article: https://www.fool.com/investing/2019/10/10/fitbit-is-moving-manufacturing-out-of-china.aspx

Good morning
My Fitbit Charge 3 is also displaying the white lines and am generally having a lot of trouble swiping to access anything on my watch.
I have read your forum and done all the things listed like restarting, changed my clock face and went so far as even resetting everything, and I still have the lines and the touchscreen is still unresponsive.
Please help. I'm eagerly waiting for your reply.

What they say about resetting and changing faces is bollocks it doesn't work. You need to go to the support team and raise a complaint with them don't let them palm you off or settle for second best
