Charge 3 has white lines across the display

I think there's an actual issue with my fitbit but thought I'd post in here to see if anyone else was experiencing a similar issue.

I bought my charge 3 just under two weeks ago. Last Friday, I noticed my screen looked faded and had white lines running through it. I have tried to reset it three times as generally suggested with no such luck.

I haven't damaged it in any way and I've continued to wear it in the shower as I wasn't concerned due to it being waterproof. The day the faded screen/lines appeared was when the battery was very low - but that's the only thing I can think of and surely a low battery should'nt lead to this?

Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated before I have to take it back. I've tried to add a picture to this thread but can't for some reason.

Many Thanks

Lucky you. I binned mine and bought a Garmin. I had been a loyal FitBit user, but their lack of customer service is appalling.

My fitbit charge 3 not only has lines but the whole screen is going white. I've restarted the watch several times and got the smiley face and this doesn't solve the problem. What else can I do?

Best Answer

Yes exactly and it's a fuzzy gray.

I splurged and bough the Charge 3. My last fitbits I only had band problems.

so I paid up for the Charge 3 and Paid up for a new band to avoid band issues and I have this happen.

Please help me!

I hope your Fitbit is less then a year old. I called they told me since
it's passed a year they can only give me 25% off my next purchase. Luckally
I bought the warranty plan in Walmart with my purchase so I filled a claim
with them.

Nothing. It’s toast. Call customer service and hope for a new one!

My beloved Charge 3 is starting to act strangely. Started out not being detected by my iPhone 10x and now I’m getting the horizontal white lines. I just cancelled my premium membership because of the issues. I’m supposed to be keeping track of my sleep and heart rate for my doctor. I switched to the Charge 3 when the “glass” cracked on my Charge 2. Is this fixable or do I trash another Fitbit? I did the reboot and changed the clock face - nothing changed. I’d appreciate whatever help I can get. Thanks for your time

I have the same thing going on like six lines. This is my third one and this time the lines are even worst than before. Tried the update and nothing.

Did you try switching clock faces (picking a different one from the app) so
display code is reset?

Sadly it just seems to be phoning customer services for a replacement - I’m very annoyed about this but there doesn’t actually seem to be a fix ... just a series of steps to take to through to stall you ! I’ve not seen anyone on the forum actually manage to fix it with all the reset steps 😔

That doesn’t work - no one who had this issue has fixed it by doing that

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a permanent fix. These fitbit
devices last 1 to 2 years if your lucky.
