My charge 3 screen has white lines and is unresponsive to touch. I have tried resetting it but it didn't do anything

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Red20.

I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 screen has white lines and is unresponsive to touch. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. Since you've tried to restart the tracker already, I recommend doing the long restart:

  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

the Mine did this on saturday July 18th, started rapidly changing screens and then just stopped.  Plugged in did the 15 second hold and a white line.  Now it does nothing, i think it is pretty sad that this only a year seeing as it was my second one that did the same thing a year ago and had to be replaced.  So the longevity of the FITBIT is to say extremely subpar to say the least

I did all you said and my FITBIT, which is a replacement from July 2019 so exactly a year later it crapped out on me again.  why is the life of this product so poor.  It should last more than a year

Hi, my Fitbit (Charge 3) is also showing white lines since saturday. I already tried the short restart, long restart and changing the clockface, but the lines still show on the display. How should I proceed?

If it isnt under warranty all you'll get is a discount offer.  I would suggest looking at other more reliable fitness trackers

Mine is doing this also. I just bought this one in February because my previous one did the same thing. It was only 6 months old. I have tried to restart it and nothing. The Fitbit is still tracking my steps, but I cannot see the screen as it is all blurry. I am so disappointed. I’m not in a position to replace it at this time

As i stated yes i contacted them, was given a discount offer but feel that if the product doesn't last, meaning more than a year, i do not feel i would want to continually throw away my money on a product that obviously has issues and zero longevity.  I have been looking at other trackers and am looking at replacing with a different option.  Hopefully i will have better luck with the longevity and quality than i have with the FITBIT Charge 3.   I appreciate your efforts and response.

I agree. I cannot afford to throw away $100+ every 6 months. I thought it
was just me, but it’s pretty crazy that we all started having the same
problems on the same day
