Charge 3 heart rate information inaccurate

Today out of nowhere my Charge 3 Heart Rate readings skyrocket after wearing it for extended periods of time. I can be standing still or sitting still and it reaches numbers as high as 192bpm.

 

For context when exercising at my max level my BPM never goes higher than 168bpm. As well as this the screen has been steadily developing black lines across the screen. Is it beyond repair?

 

I have reset charged to full battery and rebooted innumerable amounts of time to no avail.

Thanks for troubleshooting this heart rate issue. If your tracker isn't accurately tracking this information, I recommend taking a look at this post, where you will be able to see some things that might be affecting this reading and some tips to improve it.

Hi. None of these fixes work. I have reset and rebooted the device multiple
times to no avail.

Thanks for the update, @SDunton. In the link provided are other options besides restarting the Charge 3. Did you make sure to follow them? If you didn't, please take a look at it and follow all of the tips.

I have tried all the listed options. Since then the sensor has stopped
working entirely. The light no longer shows and nothing happens. The rest
of the fitbit works. But the heart rate has completely shut down
