My Charge 3 displayed and recorded higher heart rate in exercise mode.
When I use the exercise mode (Workout) ,heart rete is jumped up to 132 before moving.
This is big big problem.
So I'm using old Charge HR when I do exercise.

It's nice to see you around here @YYZ! If you are having problems with your heart rate information, I recommend taking a look at this post, where you will be able to see some things that might be affecting this reading and some tips to improve it.
I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Charge 3 is not recording your heart rate accurately. From your Tracker please go to Settings > Heart rate and follow these steps:
- Turn the heart rate off
- Restart your Tracker
- Turn the heart rate back on

I am having the same issue with my heart rate being too high. I have about 10 hours of active hours as well. I've restarted my device and turned the heart rate off and on several times. It's not working.

All of a sudden my heart rate started reading really high I checked my calorie burn and it was WAY too high for the time of day with my normal exercise routine and then I saw my heart rate and it about gave me an anxiety attack. I took my pulse and it was way lower. I dug out my Charge 2 and charged it up to wear on the other wrist, and it's reading what I would expect.I have a photo I can't seem to upload that shows 73 on my old fitbit and 179 on my Charge 3. I bought it in September 2019. I followed the steps to turn off the hear rate, restart it, and then turn it back on. Didn't solve it.
Sitting here, it's 93 and my old one is 68. Is there another fix, or do I need to pursue getting a replacement? Thanks!

This did not work for me. Turned heart rate off - did a reset then back on.
When I do a light jog it shoots up to 150 to maybe 170. No way is that right.
Frustrated that is so inaccurate. Any other recommendations?

Tried it about 7/8 times but didn’t work. I think best think to do for me now is to throw it away … how can resting heart rate be in 150 and 160s … when on the other hand pulse oximeter read in 70s.

Hello everyone. @RxK Welcome to the community forums.
I'm sorry for the experience and thank you for the detailed information. Besides restarting your Charge 3, I'd like to let you know that there are some other factors that impact your heart rate, including air temperature, stress level, alcohol or caffeine intake, immune response to illness, and medication use (source).
Exercising in cold weather can make it more difficult for your device to track your heart rate, as environmental conditions can affect skin perfusion (the amount of blood that flows through your skin).
Spikes in your heart rate during sleep may be caused by sudden movements (for example, waking up and getting out of bed), or a weak signal due to wrist placement.
To improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading, please check: How do I improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading?
On a side note, this thread is now closed. If you still have additional questions or inquiries, please post them in a new thread.
Hope this helps.
