Some months ago I started to regularly run and sometimes my Charge 3 heart rate readings have reached above 200!!! And stayed >170 even after various minutes of walking. Readings scared me at first, as I've never been a runner, and I thought I might had been pushing a bit too much although I didn't feel tired and couldn't notice my heart really going so fast. After 3 months of regular training at a moderate pace, issue still persists and often reading go >200, so I am questioning them as they seem totally incorrect. How can I know when the readings are an artifact and when are they real?

@KY5 I hope you're doing well!
Let me help you with this. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device. Note that sweat could affect the heart rate sensor and based on suggestions from the Community members you could try using a sport wristband to quickly remove excess sweat when you are exercising.
Hope this helps.
