All of a sudden the Fitbit keeps vibrating then the screen keeps switching between click face and the notification screen. Had to take it off. The charge is at 42% so it’s not battery life.

After reading about the rice trick to "dry" a sick FBC3, I checked my C3 which I had given up on. It has been in a drawer for 2 months. Charged it up and seems to be working again.
So after all this time and all the people who have been having the same problems - maybe it all comes down to a leaky seal in the FB Charge 3!!
Mine had seemed dead, dead so I reluctantly bought a new FB Charge 4. So I guess I have a back up now.

Had that happen to one of my Charge 3. Buzzing first. Them just a smiley face. Tried 15 second reset and it didn't work. Left smiley face on watch till the battery ran down and then finally starting working. Within a day back to issue. This is the third replacement of that fitbit. My wife is moving to an Apple watch as this is barely two years old. I don't expect it to last forever but if this is a water issue you need to expect it to be waterproof as that is what you advertise it to be. This watch is designed for active people so active it should be able to handle. On a side note my Charge three bought the same day screen has died. Screen doesn't work but tracking etc does. I am really disappointed as I really enjoyed it. Had other Fitbit products before and was relatively happy. I have beta tested for the device and also read a lot of the knowledge base items requesting the same features from lots of people but they never seem to appear. Just not happy with Fitbit any more. Not receptive to users. Support always has the same answers.

just had a similar issue where my charge 3 constantly buzzes and flips through different screens, as if i'm fidgeting with the side button and the screen. chatted with a less-than-useless rep that basically gave me a discount code and went away.
of course mine died one month after the warranty expired. it seems like they couldn't care less about you once it's outside the warranty. i don't care about a discount code - why would i buy another one that will crap out on me as soon as the warranty is over?
i wish i had known about this thread before i bought mine - 28 pages worth of thread regarding the same product/issue - why isn't fitbit doing anything for its customers other than giving them a discount so they can buy another defective item?
to be fair, i still have a charge 2 that's going strong (it survived a tough mudder). that's why i had faith in the company and its products - but after experiencing the charge 3 and the subsequent customer service experience (and the fact that charge 4 is essentially the same product), i'm not so sure anymore.

Mine is doing the same. Since firmware update, my device screen goes black, no buttons work, and it just vibrates endlessly until it depletes the battery.
This walkthrough/fix doesn't work.

I have the same problem and try this fix but no change> Face display screen cycles back and forth from clock to screen awake.

I have the same problem. My Charge 3 has suddenly gone crazy this evening, constantly vibrating and switching to a DND / Sleep screen, and showing very elevate heartrates (~170bpm when I'm resting, although my resting heartrate is normally ~58bpm). I've tried repeatedly to restart, but I just get a smiley face and then nothing, despite continuing to hold the button down for at least a minute. Other than a sledgehammer, how do I stop it vibrating??????????????????????????????????

Is there not some type of update they can push through to stop this from happening?? I'm in the middle of a weeks long step challenge at work and my charge 3 keeps going crazy....I've only had it 5 month.... Never had this issue with my charge 2 😖
