Charge 3 is constantly vibrating and screen going on and off

All of a sudden the Fitbit keeps vibrating then the screen keeps switching between click face and the notification screen. Had to take it off. The charge is at 42% so it’s not battery life.

They won’t do anything unless you are under warranty and clearly there is a flaw in this product as it keeps happening to many different people

Sorry to hear that persevere and keep on at them. Surely they must
recognise that there is a flaw in their product and should really do a
recall. Good luck!!

I bought a new Fitbit Charge 3 about 9 months ago.  After about 2 months, I started getting the vibrating, screen switching between the clock and the notification screen.  Tried every "fix" Fitbit suggested, and they replaced the device.  The new device worked for about a month before the exact same thing happened.  Again, they replaced the device.  Device # 3 worked for about 6 weeks and then this happened.  Welcome, Device # 4.  I got the FOURTH replacement in November.  Here we are, not two months later, and this started yesterday.  I am awaiting the arrival of Device # 5.  Have already added # 4 to my Fitbit graveyard, as the vibration makes the device impossible to wear without losing your mind.

Really makes you wonder how much it costs them to make these pieces of crap, when they are willing to replace the thing five times rather than find a solution to this issue.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'm only on device #2 so I hope I don't share your adventure.

Thanks for all your replies...Due to mine being faulty, I took it back to the shop I purchased it from and upgraded to a Versa 2 😊

This happened to me last year when I was visiting Arizona in July (I live in Michigan); I went through a bunch of steps and they ended up replacing my fitbit. Fast forward to today the exact same thing is happening...I am at my wit's end!!!

I would suggest contacting customer service they should be able to help you as long as your fitbit is still in warranty.

Good luck

My charge 3 has started doing this same thing.  I have had two Fitbit’s before this one and they all start having problems.  I think I am going to look at different brands.  Very irritating.  Seems like it is not keeping the charge as long as before either.

I have tried this too and it doesn't work.

Mine started vibrating after wearing it swimming and now won't turn on.

I left it overnight, plugged it in this morning to charge and re-set it. I got a black screen with a white line across it. About 30 minutes later I noticed a smily face on the screen. I've left it charging for two hours as it was unresponsive. It has now started vibrating for about 10 seconds at a time, goes quiet and then repeats but it still won't turn on.

Any suggestions?

Best,
Laura

Laura,

Your FitBit is dead.  I would suggest you do what I have done the last FIVE times this has happened to my Charge 3.  Call customer service and report the problem, and they will replace it.  Frankly I think the thing is a piece of crap.  I am on my 6th replacement now.  They last 6-8 weeks and then die, only to be replaced again.  Makes me seriously wonder what it costs them to make the device, since they would rather send 6 replacements than try to figure out why so many people are having this problem.

I agree. I will never purchase another Fitbit. I’ve owned a Charge 2, a Versa and now this Charge 3 which is not keeping a charge for very long and I have turned off all notifications or it would lose the charge even sooner.

My Charge 3 is on but loses charge within a day and a half. That is with all notifications now turned off, if on battery doesn’t hold a charge at all. Doesn’t show full clock screen either.

my Fitbit Charge 3 is 6 months old and does the same thing: vibrates continually and face display goes off (black screen) and I cannot get it back on or stop it from vibrating.  Took it in for repairs, and received it back after two months! Only to have it working for 1 week and then it started doing the same thing again, screen display goes off and I cannot get it back on again.

Thank you Smartie_16, I'll be taking it back again today, hoping they can replace it

So disappointing though, paying so much for something that doesn't even
work.
And I use this fitness tracker for several different things daily.
I'll just have to find an alternative product that can actually do what
it's made for.

This is happening to me, only just received this unit today as a replacement and it’s driving me nuts...I’ve followed the steps for resetting and it’s still doing it so much so it has woken me up. I am getting fed up now as this is the 3rd tracker! How can this issue be solved?!
