Charge 3 is constantly vibrating and screen going on and off

All of a sudden the Fitbit keeps vibrating then the screen keeps switching between click face and the notification screen. Had to take it off. The charge is at 42% so it’s not battery life.

I am getting a replacement for this one since it died before warranty was up.  Thank goodness.  I wish the other 2 had died before warranties were up

😊.  I still like the company and am very happy that they are replacing this one.  Hopefully it will last a good long time.

I’m having the same issues (rapid cycling, very high heart rate recorded despite sitting or even last night while sleeping, rapid draining of battery within a few hours of charging and resetting it) and despite multiple resets and trying what was recommended for others, it continues to do this and has for 3 days. Any other options?

Call customer service. Number is on website. They will have you go through
the different resets, etc
When they see it doesnt work, they offered to send me a replacement of
same charge 3 or 50% off of a newer or different model.

I took the free replacement and it is already being shipped to me. I just
called them this afternoon. They had me wait on phone to make sure I
received email and wait to make sure they received my reply. Very nice.
Must be happening A LOT!

I feel your pain it’s frustrating when they stop working correctly. I
thought I’d been lucky getting a replacement but 2 1/2 months later its
developed another problem the screen has gone grey and grainy and stuck on
the calories burnt it also won’t scroll through which is really annoying.
Have contacted Fitbit support but nothing positive yet.

I'm having the same issues! I have tried all the suggested fixes, to no avail. The constant vibrating has made me remove the devise. I purchased the Charge 3 on March 29 2019. Device number is 11138 03095 7 (I think - that is the number that is below the barcode on the box....). Appreciate your help with this.

I had exactly the same problem and it drove me crazy. I tried everything in the book and nothing worked. After hours of frustrated trying to fix this I removed the new wristbands I got from amazon and put the originals on and voila everything is back to normal. Now I just have to get a refund for the wristbands!

Yeah I tried that as well but nothing worked Fitbit have now sent me a
replacement Charge 3 no wristbands or charger so here’s hoping that all
will be ok now. Glad you got yours sorted.

Actually it went back to acting crazy so the bands had nothing to do with
it, I contacted Fitbit today and the guy ( in Colombia) was nice enough to
send me a new one again without charger or bands. He suggested to put the
faulty one into a bowl of rice to try it up because the trouble started
while I was lane swimming, I didn’t have to send back the faulty Fitbit
which is a positive experience for customer service. I’m just scared the
whole thing will start again with the new one, why the heck do they
advertise waterproof when they are not.

I tried this and it was fine for a couple of hours and started again.

Mine began doing this on Monday. I took it off and left it on the charger most of the week and decided to research possible solutions tonight. I have tried the hard restart and changing the clock face. My display has lines through the top and bottom of the screen. Just got this last December. I had a Flex before and it lasted me over 4 years without an issue.

I know I had a Charge 2 for a couple of years with no issues before I asked
hubby to buy me the new charge 3 that was out. He did last Christmas and
all was good for a few months until it went wrong and then my replacement
went wrong. I wish now that I had chosen the option to buy a different
make as I’m not confident this will last having had 2 in the space of 8
months.....!!!

Hi I am also having this issue.

I have tried all of the recommendations and resets in this thread .

I had to replace my last charge HR 3 as it just stopped working after 3 months .

I have issues with constantly vibrating switching faces and also not accurately tracking heart rate and exercise.

Help !

Mine just did the same thing and then black screened. Tried reboot and nothing.  It is very frustrating as this is second charge 3 to die.

Customer service is sending me a new device, although this sounds like a bit of a systemic problem with this version! Thanks to everyone for all the advice.....

I am having this exact same problem.  I have followed all the many bits of advice and now have just a black screen.  I expect that, as before, I will have to wait until the battery is dead (it's at 96%)  so it may be a few days, until I can do anything at all.  Really fed up with this.  Only purchased in January.
