Charge 3 is draining iPhone 7+ battery

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Two weeks ago I replaced my Charge 2 with a Charge 3. I have the same app settings as I had for the Charge 2, including turning off All-Day Sync.

The day I got the Charge 3, my iPhone 7+ battery drained extremely fast. That has continued every day, even though I took a few more steps (turned off all background app activity, using a dimmer screen, etc.)

Is it possible that the Charge 3 is using All-Day Sync even though that function has been turned off? I realize there are many other posts in the community about this problem.

I've recommended the Charge 2 numerous times. Until this problem is fixed, I can't do the same for the Charge 3. I wish I hadn't bought it.

It's great to see you around @Patrick_H.

I appreciate all the information provided about this. I recommend going to your phone Settings > Fitbit and disable "Background App Refresh".

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

Alejandra,

Thank you. I did that yesterday, so it's too soon to know if it improves the battery drain.

However, it's important to note that Background App Refresh was ON with my Charge 2. There was no unusual battery drain until I started using the Charge 3.

Unfortunately, disabling background app refresh has not solved the problem.

Thanks for the information @Patrick_H.

Could you please provide me with a screenshot of the battery percentage that the Fitbit app is using? You can see this by doing the following from your phone:

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Slide down to Battery
  3. Search for the Fitbit app

I will see you around. Smiley Happy

I have the same problem.  I just got a Charge 3 and it is draining my iphone 7+ battery EVERY DAY.  It is using 40% of my battery daily.  Background Ap Refresh will not toggle off.  This isn't acceptable.

I brought my phone today to track my run started off at 100% and the phone only made it 90 minutes before dying. I was hoping to track a marathon this summer but don’t see how. I have charge 3 and iPhone se.
