Charge 3 is losing active minutes

Has anyone seen the active minutes actually decrease while working out? I have the charge 3 for about a year now. I was doing a Zumba class this morning and at one point, it showed 29 active minutes. When I looked at it a couple songs later, it was done to 24 and then 10 minutes later, started increasing again. I have never seen this happen before.
