Charge 3 is not holding its charge

My Charge 3 is just one year old and I have never had any problem with it. Yesterday I swam with it on for the first time in 9 months. Since then it keeps losing its charge, I recharge it and after 2 hours it’s dead again. Why, what’s the matter with it?

Hello @Florence60. Welcome to the community forums!

Thank you for the information and for the steps you've followed prior to posting. At this time, I'd like to let you know that I'm not sure what exactly could have caused this inconvenience, but take into consideration that the battery life of your Charge 3 can be impacted by several factors.

For a list of tips on how to extend the battery life, I'd recommend visiting this help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? In addition, I'd like to let you know that if you notice that your Charge 3 has a pending firmware update, please update it to the latest version by following the instructions here: How do I update my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

I have had my Fitbit one year. Last year I swam every day with it on my wrist.
This year since my first swim it is no longer holding its charge and is dead within 2 hours.
What can I do - I am on holiday in France at the moment?
