Hi Marre  I am having the same problems as TheJulia Boolia.  I have tried everything but nothing is working, it is not syncing.  It is still showing a past date and time.

I recall having to leave the wifi off until paired.

Don't wait too long.

You can take your receipt back to the place of purchase and trade for another newer fitbit.

As there is a Charge4 out, maybe all these problems are a way to make Charge3 users move on to the 4. I'm very frustrated with this syncing problem. I'm going to look into other brands now.

After 35 years in software design and support

it make my hands hurt not being able to hold the

problem Fitbit in my hand with the exact phone not pairing or syncing.

As testbed trouble shooting, fixes and workarounds with in 20 mins were my specialty.

Even though support here is quite active and appreciated, problems still persist.

Asking us to ring support so we can go thru another 45mins of trial and error testing yet again is incredibly frustrating.

I tried to organize a band replacement but had to jump thru so many hoops I finally gave up.

Yes we own 3 Fitbit Charge 3s.  All have different maintenance issues popping up at various different times.

Being retired I have the time and interest in chasing these fixes down.

But can certainly understand the frustration in todays busy life styles.

I only post this message to let other know I am in the same situation of being very frustrated.

This doesn't fix the exact issues others are having but hopefully will help to alleviate the intense since of frustrations in some way.

PS

Here is Australia we have JBHiFi who takes on the spot exchanges without issue.
This was a number of months ago.  I would ring them first to be sure.

Are we sure Fitbit have NOT blocked the synching so that we are encouraged to get a new unit. This is the second time the same issue has arisen and the duration/lifespan of each unit was similar

The PC can see the device, the connection pins are clean, the device functions on my wrist, it charges but !!!!!!!!!!  it will not synch despite several hours and attempts of following the instructions: the same happened on the 1st unit I owned

Yeah, I can't get my charge 3 to show up on Bluetooth. It sometimes comes back up, but the moment I get it paired, it completely stops syncing, forcing me to follow the steps suggested by Fitbit that don't seem to work. Thinking of just moving to other brands with better connectivity.

I just tested the three of ours using 2 different iPhones and 1 iPad.

iPhone 8

iPhone 11 plus max

iPad 8

All bluetooth links were "Forget this device"

All Fitbit app devices were deleted.

On First iPhone - And First Fitbit

Used Fitbit app to add a New Charge 3.

(I did NOT use iPhone settings | bluethooth | MY DEVICES)

Connected and synced.

Second iPhone and second Fitbit

Moved far away from the first Fitbit and iPhone.

My Fitbit account n the second iPhone already had that device.

So created a Second Fitbit ID.
On the second iPhone I LOGGED OFF my Fitbit account on the Fitbit app.

Then logged ONTO Fitbit account using the second ID.

Used the Fitbit app on the second iPhone using the second ID to add a New Charge 3.

Connected and synced.

The iPad and the third Fitbit.

Pretty much the same as the Second iPhone.

Moved far away.

Created a third Fitbit ID for the iPad

Logged out then back in with the third Fitbit account using the iPad

Used Fitbit app on iPad to add a New Charge 3.

Connected and synced.

Hope this helps.

Also, A few days ago I was having issues with MYFO bluetooth earbuds.

I synced them to the iPhone and played music.

Then 3 second later would sync to anther device.

I had to turn off bluetooth on the other device

to get the iPhone to stay synced.

Hope this helps.

Like so many other users out there, I had to scrap my Charge 3. It just wouldn't work and the frustration wasn't worth it. A lot of money down the drain. Charge 3's are quite expensive. Of course FITBIT would not even take a penny off a new purchase. I stayed clear of buying another FITBIT Charge product.

Same issue that many others are facing. Bluetooth on iPhone cannot detect Charge 3. Tried all the suggested steps but to no avail. Have been using Fitbit for the last 8 years without any problem until now. Just changed to Charge 3 few months ago. Was working fine till 4 days ago. Now the time on my Fitbit is 2 hours behind. Please help.

Hi there,  I have (Well my wife has)  the same problem with her Fitbit Charge 3.  I have tried every single fix mentioned here.  I eventually unpaired it.  Then set it up again as if it was a new  device...  and that worked.

So.   There you go.  Worked for me.   Mind you she hadn't worn it since March...  and I don't know if she will wear it much now.  But the tech problem was solved. 😉

Hi there,

Thank you for your reply. I have tried unpairing and reset up but still cannot get it to work. Eventually, my device can’t even power up and finally I get it replaced.

Thank you.🙏
