Have the same problem since October last year. I don’t know if it’s because of the update or what. Ive tried everything that ive read in the forum regarding this matter but still wont sync. Its just annoying. Hope that they can do something regarding this.

For what it's worth I was told by Fitbit Support that there was no
resolution for my problem and since it was past the warranty period my only
option is to buy a new one. Honestly, these aren't cheap watches and they
should last longer than a year and a half. I also just spent $50 on a new
watch band since the one it came with broke. I can't even wear it as a
watch as it doesn't have the correct time anymore!

That is very disappointing tot hear! Indeed mine is from august 2019...and
already replaced 2 times.
Is your warranty not 2 years?

@AlvaroFitbit I was able to fix it that time after losing hours of sleep and gaining at least 300 gray hairs. Since then, it has decided that it wants to act up at least twice a week now. It is starting to get very tiresome to have to re-pair it all the time. I can't tell if it's something with the app software or the firmware in the tracker itself. When the tracker loses the capability to sync, the bluetooth menu under settings on my iPhone shows that it is connected.

For me to be able to successfully reconnect it, i have to first go into settings > bluetooth and forget device, then go to settings > about > clear user data on my tracker and wait for it to reboot. Simply rebooting the tracker does not affect anything. After I've lost all the data that it had been collecting, then it will reconnect 5 out of 7 times. As a programmer myself, it seems that there is a problem with the tracker not automatically syncing on whatever the sync schedule is and once it collects a certain amount of data in its buffer, it becomes unable to transmit that buffer or connect to any device at all until that buffer is cleared and the tracker resets its bluetooth connection list. Hopefully this insight will help the programmers at Fitbit to figure out a patch to correct this long term. My concern with that though is that since the Charge 3 is an older device and the money comes from selling new devices, not fixing bugs on older devices, that any continued changes and corrections to the programming for the Charge 3 will stop and that device will be marked as obsolete. My belief, and I'm sure that I share it with at least the other people who have commented on this thread, is that I wouldn't mind upgrading my tracker, but based off of the performance and headaches that have come about as the Charge 3 moves further down the new and shiny list makes me wonder if I don't just need to upgrade to a device that isn't a Fitbit. Scanning all the various posts on this board and the cookie cutter responses from tech support that we know don't help doesn't install a great deal of trust that the company supports or cares that thousands of people are having the exact same problem with the same tracker and it doesn't take a giant leap of faith for one to assume that Fitbit just doesn't care about the issue because it is an older tracker. It has also been said that the latest firmware for the Charge3 was supposed to activate the SpO2% sensor that has been dormant inside the sensor package of the Charge3. Despite that activation code being present in either 1 or 2 firmware versions ago (can't remember exactly) and the software change necessary to read and interpret that data being added to the Fitbit program the same 1 or 2 releases ago, I have yet to see any change in what has been being displayed for the sleep data.

@SunsetRunner everyone with a charge3 seems to be having the exact same problem. Personally (as a programmer myself) the issue seems to be in the way the tracker handles stored data and the bluetooth connection. For the device to display the pairing number fine but then the software on whatever device you are trying to pair it with to just basically stall while waiting for a reply from the device, there has to be a fault in the firmware on the tracker itself not completing the bluetooth connection. Ive been posting this across several message threads hoping that someone in their programming department will take a look into what and where I believe the problem is. The only way I have been able to reconnect my tracker is to sacrifice the data stored on my tracker since the last time it was able to sync by going into the trackers menu and selecting settings>about>Clear user data. When you do that, the device will erase everything in memory including the bluetooth pairing list and all the workouts you have done since it last connected to the fitbit app successfully. After it reboots, mine has been able to reconnect then fine and it keeps the connection for about 3-4 days.

For me, losing the unsynced data on the device isn't the end of the world, but what really ticks me off is losing all the app notification settings in the fitbit app because of having to delete that device from the list in order to re-pair it. I keep my phone on vibrate all the time and use the vibrations thru my tracker to alert me to notifications on my phone that I should at least take a peek at and see how urgent it is. Most bosses tend to get very irritated if someone is looking at their phone all the time, so if i'm going to get in trouble for looking at my phone, i want it to be because one my kids or my wife has sent me a text that I need to act on fairly soon, not that the news is reporting that some coyote made its way into a bathroom at an elementary school halfway across the country (and yes, that alert just now popped up on my phone lol)

Dear Alvaro,

Now with the release of thé new app version, i tried to pair my charge3 tracker tot thé app...it is still not pairing. Can this be investigated? Or should I consider thé charge 3 to be useless? Really frustrating..it seems not tot be bluetooth issues, thé tracker can be Found and i receive a pin. After that it doesn't work! So help...or should I put thé charge 3 to thé trash bin...paid about 140 euro's in august 2019.😔 Thé ace2 of my son connects without problems. Kind regards
