I am using mu Charge 3 to record my running progress and it keeps dropping out or not recording at all. I have switched of the WiFi and I only have bluetooth headphones attached but half way through a 5k run last night it just stoped logging the run. This has happened more than once.

Mine is also doing this..it won’t connect to my iPhone when I select run unless the app is open. As soon as I lock my phone it drops in and out of connection and doesn’t record anything. It does this when I have my Bluetooth headphones connected and when I don’t. Very frustrating!

I have just started very brief runs yesterday. I tend to do two long walks a day of 1 hour 30 minutes (totaling 3 hours a day). Yesterday, it logged the first one for the full duration but it broke up my evening one into two sections under the exercise heading and it is missing 12 minutes. The missing minutes seem to be the duration in which I was running. I know my heart rate was in the peak zone-so it wasn’t that my heart rate was too low. While I wasn’t running for the entire hour and a half, I was continually moving so I’m not sure why it broke it up into two short chunks and lost 12 minutes.

My Fitbit is quite new (3months old) but I’ve been noticing missing minutes and a long walk Broken up into 2. Today I’ve been up many flights of stairs but no active minutes recorded! Why is this happening and how to fix it so that all activity is captured? Thanks

Mine is doing the same, starting recording then stopping abruptly. On the longest and most arduous walks I've done so far.
It's completely given up on the automatic exercise recording. It used to, but no more. Then there was the walk a week ago where I got the 10,000 buzzes twice in the one walk. The iPhone said I'd done almost 20,000 steps (and I watched it tick over) so I thought that's the cause. When I got home, the "finely tuned step counter" reported I'd done only 14,000 steps (and 3,000 of those were from my morning walk). For some reason, sometimes when I set off on a recorded walk, the charge 3 buzzes every few steps. No, it's not in pause mode (though that's just what it says, and who can really tell with all its unreliability) it's just buzzing for an unknown reason.
I've only had it for 3 months; just can't trust it. I wish I'd bought another brand (and bought this one without extra warranty cover), I just hate it when products make me feel stupid for choosing them.

Steps and calories are being recorded, but the exercise session is not! I guess I could live without that, BUT -- I like the info included about heart rates and calories per minute. Seriously considering getting a different product, from a different company!
