I have noticed this evening that my charge 3 is missing out steps. I am in the middle of a step challenge so I've been keeping my eye on the total.. I have just finished a 6 mile walk and have watched it not update. Any ideas how to get this fixed asap.
thanks

When does the app say that the last sync was.

Hi,
even when it has synced, it does not record the step, you can visably watch as you walk the steps not counting. even then when refreshed.

Are you referring to the steps found in the app and at Fitbit.com or is this the steps recorded and displayed on the Charge 3?

Hi,
I am talking about the fit bit charge 3 on my wrist, it is not logging them constantly, so I could have walked 20 or 30 steps, it doesn't register them, nor show them when I have refreshed the screen. I have even walked and watched the app on my phone, sometimes it counts them, other times, it just doesn't recognise them.

Measured against my Apple Iphone app, the fitbit is reporting 1 mile less than Apple reports after walking 2 hours.

@dfenton have you tried restarting the tracker?
@Maltie let's first compare steps which the Fitbit can count. Your tracker dies not have the ability to measure distance but looks at the stride and step count to take an educated guess.
Have you setup your stride?

Was a solution ever found for this issue as I have a Charge 3 behaving in the same way - sometimes it records accurately, sometimes not. This morning I tracked a walk on the phone app and by the end of it there was 1 mile and a half difference in the distance logged (I know the tracker cannot record distance) and over 3,000 missing steps - the numbers of missing steps tie up with the distance discrepancy too.
