Charge 3 is not tracking heart rate and battery life is draining too quick

My charge 3 stopped tracking heart rate and at the same time, the battery life went to about 10 hours even with no activity.  I have tried restarting and cycling the settings on and off, but still no green light.  Previously, no issues with heart rate tracking and battery was lasting 5-6 days.

My charge 3 is having the same problems as the persons below. Over Memorial Day weekend, it stopped tracking my heart rate and then started running through the battery in 10 hours.  I have restarted it, turned off the heart rate monitor, turned the heart rate monitor back on,  signed out and into my account, let it completely die then charge for over 12 hours, used a USB connection to charge on my computer, rebooted the device and all of the suggestions below. Prior to this past weekend, my Fitbit lasted about 10 days on a charge. Can you please tell me what I need to do? Thank you. Sheree'

Hi,

I am having the same problem for the past 48hours with the battery life loosing at least 10% an hour and my heart rate hasn’t been registering since yesterday evening. I have tried everything you have suggested in your response to no avail. I’m not sure what to do now.
Many thanks

Hannah

I have owned a fitbit products for 5 years. I previously had a Charge 2. The device lasted but the band kept breaking.  After several broken bands and device replacements one lasted (with a rubber band) longer than one year.  After a while I bought a Charge 3 with a replaceable band. Great! Replaced the band once and now the device is shot (slightly over two years.) - no heart rate, no battery life.NO MORE. BUY ANOTHER BRAND! Or better yet just say yours broke at 10 1/2 months and get a new one.

I have had my Charge 3 for a little over 4 months. The heart rate worked fine and the battery generally lasted over a week. Monday (Labor Day), I hiked about 5 hours for over 30,000 steps and that evening, the display was flashing on a lot and the vibrate bumping. I was at over 50% charge and when I went to bed it was down to 17%. I also saw the heart rate was greyed out. I synced with the phone  and saw the heart rate was blank since mid hike. The next morning, there was a picture of the battery, but no percentage. By 9am (which was yesterday), the battery completely died. I didn't have my charger with me so I charged it when I got home last night. This morning it was 84%, now its 60%. I think it will be dead before the end of the day. I've tried all the steps of recharge and restarting but the green light on the bottom is actually also staying on on one side not the other? Thank you  MarreFitbit please help.

Now I'm sure this is the same problem I have been experiencing. July 25 was the last time it logged or had my heart rate noted on the charge fit.

So far, let the watch drain power twice, reset it by hard reset and by about screen, change where I had it charged and adjusted wrist placement plus what band I wore. Still the green light not coming back, no tracking sleep, heart rate.
