Welcome on board @Grandy68, it's nice to see you around here! The alarm itself needs to be set in the mobile app via the device settings. After that the set alarm will synchronize automatically with the Charge 3. To get more information, see: How do I manage alarms on my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps, let me know if you need further assistance!

I have synced my Fitbit with the app and the notification for "add alarms on your tracker..." Is still there and I can't get off that screen

Oh this is ridiculous.. How do we add alarms? there is nothing in the app, and the device says use the app. You say to go 'here' but here has no option for alarms. None that I can see.
Jesus are you using Samsung as your model?

Can you please explian this in detail? What do you mean in device settings. Where? Is this before it lets you see it in the app? Why? I am at a loss why something like this is completely befuddling.
I just spent almost $200AUD on something that I am finding incoherently able to use. this is samsung all over.. "Buy it.. we'll just say haha"

Return the fitbit and get something else. that's what I am going to do. I'm tired of these places thinking they can fob off this dross and we'll just work around their stuff ups.
samsung all over. almost as bad as logitech.

This doesn't answer the question. I don't want to set an alarm - I accidentally bumped the 'set alarm' feature, and I just want the "add alarms on your tracker" message to go away. It won't swipe off and I can't get rid of it.

If I'm not mistaken, when it was happening with me, some of the advice said to turn your Fitbit off and then back on again - 3 times. As I finally found the back "button" and that worked for me, I didn't try the "turn your device off and back on again." But since the back button isn't working for you, you might want to try resetting it with the turn off, turn on advice.

On phone app dashboard, click the Charge 3 icon near top right. Then scroll down a bit to see "Silent Alarm". Click that and follow instructions.
advice from someone else because I couldn’t figure it out either!
