The Charge 3 is one of the biggest wastes of money I’ve experienced. I bought two and both are just stuck on the smiley face and won’t charge. They’re 4 days out of warranty. I’ll never waste my money on Fitbit ever again. So many people have this problem which suggests they invest more on R&D or discontinue the product entirely.

This is inevitable and if you’re very lucky it will happen within warranty but usually it’s just outside warranty. Fitbit is a piece of crap and needs to be discontinued.

I’ve try all the steps from above.

my fit bit is a charger 3, 6 months old after 2-3 months screen stoped working I had to connect to Fitbit app and swap my fit bit screen face.

after 1 weeks I had this problem until I realized that few weeks before I updated the software.

its been a month now since I try everything. Nothing works, surprisingly I try today to do all reset steps which lead me to my smiley face screen.

Fitbit won’t connect to Bluetooth, it does vibrates but is not working.

if all of those are not working why can’t we  get a replacement or a refund ?

I have the same issue with the smiley face that won't go away.  I've had it on the charger now for a couple hours, tried restarting it, tried restarting it with it off the charger, tried plugging it into my computer vs a wall outlet to charge and all the while, it won't wipe that smiley face off the screen.

Actually, try pressing the power up button (on the left side if you have a Charge 3). It might actually be fully charged. You have to scroll down one screen to see the battery life. It's not on the opening screen. Try that - it worked for me.

FitBit was incredibly understanding and sent me a new one without any hassle.
I’m sure they will do the same for you.
I got the info from their site.
Good luck!

I got an Apple Watch although the company sent me a new Fitbit . For an
app that doesn’t have a monthly charge that measures your sleep, Fitbit is
much better than the Apple Watch for sleep tracking.

Hi.
My charge 3 Fitbit has been on the Emily face screen for almost 24 hours. I have tried everything. Should I send it in?? Or just keep trying? I have read every post and nothing has worked. Sometimes it will turn all black. I can’t even get it to show the battery life. Even though it should be fully charged.

My Fitbit mysteriously started behaving like the others on this thread yesterday. I have tried all the suggestions on this and various other community posts. Let the device run out of battery completely (it was at about 5% when it happened), no luck. Plugged into wall charger, no luck. Plugged into PC, no luck. Hard reset seemed to work but the progress bar just appeared and disappeared. No luck. The app seems to think the device is still there as it attempts to push a clock face change, but nothing happens.

Can somebody from support advise on the next steps? The device is a little over a year old I wouldn't have expected it to pack it in, particularly after nothing happened to it to cause this. I just wear it as a normal watch and go running. It never goes into water and there have been no 'bangs' that would cause it to stop working. Interestingly the haptic button has stopped feedback completely, it's as if the device is just completely frozen and unable to return to a working state.

My Fitbit charge 3 is stuck on a Smiley face. I’ve tried the recommended solution but have had no luck.

I tried this 3x and failed.

My Fitbit Inspire failed before and I managed to reset on 3/16 by rebooting my Android smartphone after failing to get the Fitbit to sync with every attempt I found suggested on Google.

It managed to sync through 3/18. Well, this worked again.

I just hate rebooting my droid every time the Fitbit decides not to sync!

What's wrong with the protocol? Who came up with it? Why can't the industry agree on an "OPEN STANDARD"???

I hate someone trying to force me to buy an expensive smartphone when mine works fine with every open standards application!

It seems that regardless of the many Fitbits I have had, I am able to get 1-2 years at most before problems arise. This one was 1 year old in January. It went dark while fully charged. Rebooted after this. Nothing. After two days, It came on was fully charged. Went to a battery indicator showing 29% charge in less than 10 minutes. Now just a smiley face for days. These instructions did not work. Ordered a new charge 4. Last Fitbit I will ever buy. This is about my 5th one and am tired of the many issues.

I've tried this several times.   I now get the time screen, but I'm unable to scroll to anything else.   When trying the charging cable and holding the button for several seconds, I get the smiley face and then the screen goes blank.   It will not reset.

Absolutely did not work. I have tried everything. Is it possible that there is something wrong with the charging cable?

Nope. Same problem with any other charging cable. Its the device itself.
Rebooting fails and Fitbit has no apparent solution or fix.
