Charge 3 is stuck on smiley face

Pick up my Charge 3 and have done everything to reboot but stuck on smiley face and not visible to blue tooth

I allowed several days to drain the battery. As soon as connect the charger I reset my Charge 3 and it went from the smiley face to charge mode.

I tried ALL the official troubleshooting I could find and it is still DEAD. I followed the instructions to the T.

I got my Fitbit Charge 3 on July 24, 2019, through Amazon and got it going as soon as it arrived; however, it started failing just mere months into service and I was able to troubleshoot the issues until it finally died on February 15, 2020. I tried doing all the troubleshooting available at the time with no luck. Frustrated, I left it unplugged to try again and repeated the steps of charging, rebooting, and all that. For a time it would be stuck on the smiley face to then go into a loop of vibrations every couple of minutes. Frustrated once again, I left it unplugged. Fast forward to today (June 20, 2020), I followed the instructions to the T to try to troubleshoot the stuck smiley face. This time; however, the smiley face appeared for seconds. Left it charging for a couple of hours, tried rebooting it and NOTHING happened. IT. IS. DEAD. DEAD. DEAD.   😢

How may I reach customer support to request a replacement?

My fitbit 3 has been stuck on smiley face all it does is vibrate when I try to restart while plug in it updates and stay stuck there. There is no green light to show it has any sign of life. Why? I had to go back to my fitbit 2 which works but I like my 3 better. Why is it doing this and gone bad? Fitbit need to stand behind there products. I dont have money to waste and yes I am real mad FItbit company! This makes no sense at all. My fitbit1, 2, and one still work. Why has the 3 died?

I have the same smiley issue, but when I leave my tracker charging, the smiley is never gone. 

You say; If the smiley face has gone, then do all the steps, but the smiley remains in my case. The tracker vibrates after 8 seconds of holding the button, but then still nothing else happens. When I take it off the charger, is doesn't have a smiley face, but also doesn't vibrate anymore. 

What should I do?

Hi, actually i read another post where the lady let her Fitbit completely die and charged it and it started working. So no thanks 2 Fitbit Co I let mine died, charged it, it updated, and it has been working fine the past 2 weeks. Try that i used my Fitbit 2 as a past time.I must gt steps by any means necessary. 🤣😂🙂

I am having the SAME problem.  It just went crazy and went blank.  Tried to charge it and got the time and date screen for yesterday when it happened.  Held in the button, got a line, then a smiley face.  Called customer service and they told me since it's out of warranty that it won't work again.  I asked is it Toast?  was told yes.  Not even 2 years old!  Don't think I'll buy another one.  Pretty expensive to buy every 2 years!

well i did reset it and thought i was on the right road to success but last week it went crazy again so i got a Fitbit versa hopefully it will not do the same thing. Now fitbit is offering insurance at $29.99 and sadly i think its unfair the warranty thing happen to me too but this will be my last fitbit device agree they cost a pretty penny to not be covered longer than 1 or 2 years

They offered me some watches at a 35% discount. Still trying to see if I want to get another one. Haven’t looked at the versa. Hope u have better luck this time!

I was fully refunded by the merchant, and then bought a Charge 4 for the
same amount. Holding my thumbs that I won't the same problem with it!

This worked for me with a brand new out of the box Charge 4 that immediately got stuck on the smiley face as soon as I tried to set it up.

At first I tried taking it off charger and let it sit for 20 minutes but nothing changed and it still showed smiley face. I put it back into the charger and held button for 8 seconds, buzzed and Fitbit logo came up and I was able to start the process anew.

Side note: on my original attempt my phone was also hooked up via bluetooth to a speaker, possible that maybe caused an issue? I disconnected all other bluetooth apparatus before re-attempting.

Thanks! Didnt offer me anything? Glad someone got noticed!😊 Sadly I have a Fitbit one clip on, Fibit 1,2, 3 now Fitbit Versa 2 and I'm done after this one! I'm going to Apple or Samsung..lol

Mine started with a different issue and now has come to this. Bought it in Australia last year and was working fine until 2 days ago. Is started vibrating like crazy until the battery died. I recharged, then battery died again in 2 hours. When I tried to recharged again, got stuck on the smiley face. Try everything suggested here, nothing works.

Doesn’t work! Fitbit charge 3 hasn’t at bed for 3 days. Can’t get it to pair with IPhone 7. Buying a new tracker other brand! So upset this is my favorite device and love the app but I can’t get it to work any more. Stuck on smiley 😞
