Charge 3 isn't connecting to iPhone

My husband won a Fitbit charge 3 last Christmas and he has been unable to connect to his iPhone or iPad for the last few months. It originally worked for a few months but now won’t. Any ideas why?

There are different factors that can affect the synchronization of your data. To resolve syncing issues, we recommend following these troubleshooting steps

 

In addition, you can set up your husband's Fitbit Charge 3 as a replacement device:

 

  1. Tap the Today tab EdsonFitbit_0-1629235470663.png, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
