Charge 3 isn't found by my iPhone's Bluetooth

Hello there,

So my Fitbit charge 3 has been lying idle since march 25 2020 (Start of the lockdown in india) 😉

I managed to get hold of it recently (Aug 2021) and had it charged.

Its working however the date and time is still of March 2020.

To change it, i have been trying to sync it with my Fitbit app (latest version) but it is not showing up in the app nor is it showing under Bluetooth section (I use iPhone XR - ios14)

I tried everything mentioned on these forums, long restart (15sec) short restart (8 sec) , Setting reboot etc. None of the approaches are working.

Your expertise is much needed here. Please help with the latest.

Thank You!

Have you removed the Charge 3 from the list of Bluetooth devices in your phone. The app may not be able to search for a trusted device.

What is the problem @VKMindia. The Charge 3 does not need to be connected for a sync to be successful.

It is needed for notifacations.

We can not help much with the Bluetooth connection since this is managed by the Fitbit App and not by the Fitbit User.

Hello @VKMindia. Welcome to the community forums. @Rich_Laue Nice to see you around and thanks for your great input!

@VKMindia Thank you very much for the detailed information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior to posting. As mentioned on the post above, I'd recommend removing the Bluetooth connection between your old phone and your Fitbit device:

*On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.

*Open the Fitbit app in your new phone and set up the connection again. You should receive a message asking you to allow your Fitbit device to pair with your phone. Tap Pair to approve the request. Also, please make sure no other mobile devices are nearby as this can interfere with the set up or sync process.

If you still experience any inconvenience to set up your Charge 3, I'd recommend visiting this help article for additional troubleshooting steps: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.
