Hello @JaneADavis. Welcome to the community forums!

Thank you for the detailed information. Please note that when your body is completely at rest and you haven’t moved for about an hour, your Fitbit device records that you’re asleep. If your second Sleep log isn't being detected, I recommend wearing your device in a snug wristband while sleeping. Also, please perform a restart by doing the following steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

On a side note, I recommend changing your Sleep Setting. For example, if you have set your sleep in Normal, try to change it to Sensitive mode and see how it works. Take into consideration that normal mode works well when you make significant movements like rolling over, your device records time spent awake. This setting is appropriate for most users. In sensitive mode, your device records nearly all movements as time spent restless or awake. This setting may be helpful if you wake up feeling tired even though your sleep history shows sufficient rest.

To change your sleep sensitivity setting:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab. Then tap your profile picture
  2. Tap Advanced Settings > Sleep Sensitivity and make your changes.

Hope this helps.
