Charge 3 isn't showing the body of texts

Please help me, I have a Samsung S6, which is compatible with text on my Charge 3 (I checked), but it only tells me I have a text message and 2 options to either open or clear, when I press open, it opens text on my phone.

I'm fairly tech savy so I have tried everything from rebooting the watch, resetting the Bluetooth and uninstalling app to reconnect. One of the reasons I purchased this a few weeks ago was so I could read my texts without checking my phone, but I haven't been able to get this feature to work.

Please help!

Thanks for troubleshooting this text issue. I recommend trying the following:

1. Open your "Messages" app on your Android device.

2. Go to "Settings."

3. Click on "Notifications."

4. Make sure there is a checkmark next to "Preview Message"

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately nothing has worked. I've tried everything now at this point. I think I'm going to return the watch as I want to be able to read my text. Thanks for your help anyway.
